You will feel transported to Italy at this little gem. Service is excellent and attentive. We needed help with our large group menu and placed our faith in our server. Every dish was exquisite. Try to get a table here if you're in town. The...More

This causally chic Italian bistro on upscale Jackson Square is extremely difficult to get into on most given days of the week but so worth the wait, if you understand the subtle flavors and texture of the best pizettas this side of Florence. They share...More

Seeing a lot of good reviews but I like to share my first time dining there on Saturday. The experience is "lukewarm" at best. I would love to give them 4 or 5 stars because I am a HUGE fan of Quince, their high end...More

We celebrated a 80th birthday at Cotogna in March. The staff knew of the birthday from the reservation we made and when we sat at the table for 5 the placemats were printed with a Happy Birthday message. The place is lovely and the food...More

After hearing great things from a friend that visited a few weeks ago, I had to find a reservation here. It did not disappoint as the pastas were amazing, the appetizer of clams in the wood oven were really good, but we probably waited a...More

Had the best meal in SF here. I was dining with one other person. Instead of ordering our own items we shared several items. Everything was very good but the one item that stood out was the uovo (egg) filled raviolo. Imagine a giant raviolo...More

We just happened to walk in to this restaurant for lunch and thankfully we did. It was fantastic!!! We had the endive salad, ahi tuna, crab linguini and the ragout. Everything was outstanding including the cocktails!

Cotogna was just so so. Some of the dishes were a hit some were a total miss. Hit meaning the food came out the right temperature, enough to share and favorable. Miss in that the food was room temperature, overly saucy, and needed more seasoning....More

A local friend picked this spot for an upscale lunch. This open dining room features a roster of unusual combinations. We put ourselves in the hands of our waiter, and our dishes included elements from rabbit, seafood and pasta. Everything was delicious. It's not cheap...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
