$72 for an unmixed salad, three spoonfuls of mac'n'cheese, a too-sugary cherry pie and some beer so hoppy you wonder if the brewer knew what he was doing... This place is the ultimate pretentious overpriced hipster scam. Avoid this place at all costs. You will regret it... Unless you want to pay for the privilege of eating out of a... More

I went here and have the tuna melt. It was so good. One must try the vegetarian chili. Other than the food, The workers were so welcoming.

I really like this location. It has less seating but the food is awesome. The brunch menu has a wide variety. The Sour Cherry pie is a great dessert. It gets packed but worth the wait.

It's one of those restaurants where you order, and then given a number, and some time later the staff brings out your food. The problem with this, you ask? Well, if there's a problem with your food, it is challenging because you don't have a point person who is supposed to check back with you. Instead, you have to find... More

We had the salmon omelette and egg & avacado toast for breakfast - both were good. Nice latte and chai, too.

The people were super friendly and helpful from the minute you get in the door. Busy and crowded. Loud and not quiet. The best food. We had soups and the bread was amazing. The spritzer drinks are the most awesome drinks ever. All the dishes looked fantastic. Nothing fancy. Great for foodies tho. Fast. Great prices. I really can't wait... More

I've been to the grove off 3rd on previous visits and I quite enjoy it there although it gets quite busy. This one in the mission is less chaotic and quieter albeit smaller in size with no upstairs seating. It can get a bit chilly if you're sitting anywhere near the door, fortunately I wasn't. I like the veggie lasagne... More

Stumbled upon this place by accident and so glad I did! I wasnt sure what I wanted so just picked 2 random items that turned out to be DELICIOUS-vegetable lasagna and their signature French onion soup. Super good and authentic flavors. If I lived in San Francisco, I think I could eat those things on a regular basis! Give it... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighbourhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
