Well, this is San Francisco after all, one of the foodie capitals of the world, so it's expected that the food would be excellent. I had the sea bass and it was, indeed, excellent; cooked just right all the way through and very juicy. It was served on a bed of chorizo sausage, farro, peperonata, scallions and chili oil; quite... A very nice location on Gough Street. The service was very good and the food fairly priced. I particularly enjoyed the all you can drink Bloody Mary's. It was a very nice way to spend a hour after a good long walk.

Excellent service, everybody friendly. We arrived one hour before our reservation and we hadn't problem or waited for table, the atention was fast. The food was great. Only the bathroom looked careless; I understand was busy all time, but it was uncomfortable for a so nice place. definitely we back many times!

My husband and I have been coming to Dobbs Ferry several times a year ever since it opened. We loved the food and always found the service good. Alas, we won't be back any more. We and another couple (British, and yes, all 4 of us are no longer young) had a 9:30 reservation for a Friday night dinner following... More

Dodds Ferry has a pleasant ambiance and great service. However the menu is very limited if you are not a meat eater! Both the fish and chicken dishes offered are with sausages. I was able to order a pasta without the meatballs that come with it. We were a party of six and the service was very good. The two... More

Nice but limited menu - although sometimes that is better, as the do it better. I had the meatballs and it was a generous and very tasty serving. The meatballs weren't dense as some can be. Would go back but not too soon as would want there to be different choices on the menu

Our family came here for dinner before a Straight No Chaser show at Davies. We were seated promptly and our waiter arrived and immediately enquired if we were seeing a show to make sure if there was a time consideration. Service was prompt throughout the meal, but also didn't feel rushed. I had a wedge salad and my husband had... More

We fell upon this restaurant and so happy we did. Food and service was excellent - authentic, good quality and friendly. The chicken dish is amazing along with the Brussels sprouts... As a group of five, our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant prior to the San Francisco Ballet we were attending. We are SO glad he did. The wine recommendations were spot on, as well as the appetizers. We had the risotto balls and the pumpkin fondue; both of which were outstanding in their own ways. A few of us had... More
