I have eaten here 3 times. I have never thought their food was stellar, better than a fast food place or big chain. But it always misses the mark in one area or another, first time I visited under seasoned food, last time the chicken was cooked to shoe leather consistency. Great but limited beer selection. I feel they owners... More

The best Ruben ! We had a bit of an unfortunate run in with a Mexican hobo , he proceeded to down my partners pint of IPA whilst yelling at us in Spanish. Luckily he vanished before the food arrived and the waitress was kinda enough to get him a new pint. It was a bit of a bonkers situation... More

Excellent Jewish specialty cafe and eatery, especially nice for a earthy breakfast. The place is quite small so you might have to wait a while. Does also take away.

We weren't looking for this restaurant but walking past we were enticed in with the smell of yummy food, and numerous people eating delicious looking dishes. The scrambled egg with zucchini and goats cheese was good but the pastrami and egg sandwich was excellent. Numerous other authentic tasty dishes. Next time will be trying the burger, as that looked amazing... More

Went there on the advice of our dough yet who lives in SF The food and service was 2nd to none. Really friendly wait staff really eccentuates the family atmosphere. We had the Ruebins, scrambled eggs and corned beef hash along with a potato pancake washed down with unlimited coffee refills, all good, no complaints. Don't miss this little gem on... More

Pastrami with no fat. Overpriced latkes. Over salted lox, minuscule portions. Pickles nothing to write home (New York) about.

We visited Wise Sons yesterday and the line was out the door so we assumed the wait would take forever, it didn't They moved it along nicely and the food came quickly to our table. They take your food order at the front, whether you are eating there or getting to go. Once you put your food order in you... More

Came here for breakfast - it's a very simple diner, with family photos on the wall. I had Semite sandwich - crispy pastrami with cheese, a fried egg, pickles, and mustard, served in bread that had a tang of caraway. It came with a side of home fries. Himself had the corned beef hash - chunks of meat and potato,... More

I just moved back into the hood (been here since '98) after living abroad and decided to try it out. I heard good things but.... Latkes were great though the apple sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. Trout salad was plentiful but too salty for me. Best part they have wine in a can....hooda thunk it. One can... More

Not a huge place, and can have a line during lunch rush - but well worth a little wait. Great pastrami and unbelievable Babkas. Anytime we need to take something to a party, a full or half loaf of chocolate Babka is sure to be a hit.
