I have stopped by this Mexican restaurant on 3 different occasions. It is in a not so nice part of town. From the outside it doesn't look like much but inside it is nice, clean and authentic. The food tends to be a hit or miss. I had the California burrito this past week and was not impressed. It lacked... More

Eat here or Pancho Villa or Tacqueria Vallarta around the corner on Mission right side. Better deal than Pancho Villa. Good carne asada and carnitas

I have been trying to find a place that served tortas ahogadas and aguas frescas for the longest time! These were amazing and the grilled onion + salsa bar made it even better!

Ordered two shrimp tacos and a carnita taco. The carnita taco was really good, the shrimp taco was a nice break from eating meat. We were all over the place ordering but the cashier got it straight and the line cook had each person's order correctly organized. There is a salsa/condiment bar which was nice. It was like eating in... More

Taqueria Los Coyotes is a small walk away from the 16th Mission Bart Station, one convenient location for those that take the train as means of transportation in their Mission District exploratory tours . The way the food is chosen and served is perfect for takeaways: there is a glass counter with a plethora of ingredientes, always freshly cooked, and... More

I ate dinner at Los Coyotes Taqueria on the evening of July 29th with my mother, while we were staying at an Airbnb in the Mission District. Los Coyotes is a taqueria in the Mission District serving authentic Mexican tacos. It is located on 16th Street between Wiese and Julian Streets. I ordered a vegetarian taco, which was loaded with... We love going into the Mission District on the weekends just to have a quick escape to Mexico. One of the best places for a huge plate of nachos is Taqueria Los Coyotes. They really pile on the meat and cheese. The salsa is nice and hot and the grilled onions really add an extra bit of flavor. Definitely enough... More

Well we loved it! We had never had Mexican food before and loved the whole experience. This beautifully tiled restaurant is something of a canteen and hidden gem in SF. Located in the Mission district we were informed that this was THE place to come. We came for dinner about 9pm and took a little time choosing from the expansive... More
