If you're looking for money well spent on food and ambiance then you've found what you're looking for. We stayed in San Fran for a week the whole time looking for a place like this. The food was fresh and contemporary, not to mention the great service from Chelsey; which put it over the top. We had the"chef's picks" where... More

I missed them the first time and will never make that mistake again. Everything the waiter recommended was spot on and delicious. Don't miss the pasta!

The place is packed. The reviews are 4.5 stars at Yelp to. The fact is that you pay $ 95 dolars for a tasting menu and about $ 70 for a wine pairing that is at most, ok. We were hopingto eat incredible food. It's not the case. The snacks are awesome, indeed. The porcini doughnuts are great and the... More

Excellent food prepared with originality and uniqueness, smaller portions that allow you to sample more on the menu, all of the items are special and outside the box as they say. Loved it.

There are so many great places in Hayes Valley but I'm sad to say this isn't one of them. Their signature dish is a sardine potato chip starter with a horseradish dip. Go figure. It doesn't help that the whole restaurant smells foul with sardines but the potato chip is more like potato crease paper. Not good at all. Another... More

Rich Table is small, trendy and noisy spot for the 30 something. Very pricy. Not at the same level of several of the other trendy spots but with steep pricing. We spent $290/4 people without wine or tip. Very hard to talk! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The okonomiyaki was great. The spaghetti nduja was not served warm enough.... More

And service. We were pleased to get a reservation for Christmas Eve and it was awesome. We did ala carte for the meal which was more than expected. The food was simply delicious. From the "donuts" to the brandade croquettes, the bites were quite tasty. The ribeye was perfect. The dessert was so good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Without doubt, one of the best meals we've had. Delicious, imaginative offerings from cocktails, appetizers, the entrees and the outstanding desserts. Wonderfully fresh ingredients masterfully constructed into an incredible dining experience. The service was outstanding and very helpful as a visit here really is about the taste and allowing the genius of the chef to come through, The unique combinations... More

Must try this restaurant. After extensive online research, I managed to get a Monday at 5 on reservation a week in advance of our SF trip. There was a gluten allergy in our group and they couldn't have been more accommodating and considerate. Had the Brussels sprouts and grilled avocado - to die for! Had a twilight cocktail with tequila... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighbourhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
