If you're on your way to a game at AT&T Park this is a great place to grab a pre-match beer. There's a terrific atmosphere at this bar and some brilliant beers on offer. Overall a good place to enjoy some refreshments in San Francisco!
Wanted a place close to the hotel and a cheeseburger. One of the best I even had. Fries were good, little side salad nice touch.
Very neighborhood bar. Would be good for business because of upbeat overall feel
We tried get beers and apps here since visiting san francisco. Since visiting san francisco I had been exposed to alot of their beer options and was excited to track it down and visit! Food looked great too when we checked out the menu. Obviously a local favorite too, the bar area was PACKED with people around 7ish on a...
After walking around and shopping in Union Square, Sean C. and I took a bus out to 21st Amendment Brewpub for a drink. This place was recommended by a friend who had been there recently and we were interested in what they had to offer. This place must get packed during Giants games because it's within the vicinity of AT&T...
This was a stop before going out to celebrate a birthday. The area is really close to ATT Park if you want to go for a walk before or after. The beer selection is varied and all we had were delicious. The jerk chicken wings were awesome, the BBQ wings were adequate but not spectacular. Service was excellent also. Great...
Stopped by in search of Hop Crisis, which they unfortunately were not serving, but made do with Down to Earth & Brew Free or Die. The food, however, was the real star - thoroughly enjoyed a cup of chili, spinach & arugula salad, and roasted jerk chicken between the two of us. Very, very good - the brussels sprouts with...
This is a nice bar and has a separate seating area for dining. The food looked really good but we only had drinks. We tried a small glass of all 10 craft beers which was fun. If you like craft beer then you'll like this place. I unfortunately am not a big fan.
Great brews, brought to you by friendly and knowledgeable stuff.
Haven't had food, but the brews are outstanding. Coming from the selfproclaiming "Land Of Beer" (Germany) be assured: Germany is so far away from being a land of beer and the proof is the 21st Amendment. I mean: a watermelon-based Weizen Beer? What's not to love?

Down to Earth, Session Ale
Down to Earth is the natural evolution (pun intended) of Bitter American, our original session ale. We thought it would be fitting to bring our space chimp home and let him chill. Whether you have a long mission behind you or a full afternoon ahead, this session IPA will help keep things real. More relaxed than an IPA, but with all the hop aroma and flavor, Down to Earth is our tribute to unsung heroes and unplanned adventures. Down to Earth is available year-round in six-pack cans and on draft and pairs nicely with a variety of things, including lunch. Down to Earth won a Silver medal in the Session IPA category at the 2016 World Beer Cup®. Alcohol Content: 4.4% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 42; Flavor Hops: Cascade, Mosaic; Malts: Golden Promise, Munich Light, Crystal 45, Caramalt; Color: Pale Gold; Bittering Hops: Warrior; Yeast: Ale Yeast
Toaster Pastry, India-Style Red Ale
Our first beer out of our new brewery is an homage to its former life as a toaster pastry factory. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, while pale and dark Crystal malts create the mouthfeel and flavors reminiscent of strawberry jam. Calypso and other experimental hops give this ruby ale a welcome bite, plus a few more in the hop back for a toasty-sweet aroma. Toaster Pastry won a Silver medal in the Double Red Ale category at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival®. Toaster Pastry won a Bronze medal in the Double Red Ale category at the 2016 World Beer Cup®. Alcohol Content: 7.6; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 74; Flavor Hops: Centennial, Ahtanum, Amarillo, Mosaic; Malts: Two Row, Baird 70-80 Dark Crystal, Weyermann Munich 2, Weyermann Carafa III, Castle Biscuit; Color: Deep Amber; Bittering Hops: Warrior; Yeast: American Ale
El Sully, Mexican-Style Lager
Con el sol en los ojos, no veíamos bien, pero tú estas más cerca de él en este momento que la mayoría de la gente tendrá la suerte de estar. Wait, sorry about that. The sun was in our eyes and we did not get a good look, but you are closer to him right now than most will ever have the good fortune to be. Who is El Sully? Grab a can of this Mexican-Style lager, head to the nearest beach, even if it's imagined, and perhaps he'll come to you. El Sully (the beer) is available this Fall inside our new 12-can variety pack. El Sully (the legend) is a little harder to find. Alcohol Content: 4.8; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 19; Yeast: Mexican Lager Strain; Color: Light Straw; Hops: Magnum and Northern Brewer; Malts: Pilsner and Vienna Malts and Flaked Maize
Brew Free! or Die IPA, India Pale Ale
Brew Free! or Die IPA is brewed with some serious west coast attitude. This aromatic golden IPA starts with three different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone supporting the firm bitterness. Our top selling beer at the pub, this IPA starts big and finishes clean leaving you wanting more. Alcohol Content: 7.0% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 70; Finishing Hops: Cascade, Centennial; Malts: Two-Row Pale, Imported Munich & Light Crystal; Color: Deep Gold; Bittering Hops: Columbus; Yeast: Top Fermenting Ale Yeast
Back in Black, Black IPA
Inspired by Paul Revere's midnight ride, we rebelled against the British style IPA, embraced the more aggressive American version and then recast it in bold, brave, defiant black. Our Black IPA is a Declaration of Independence from the tyranny of the expected. Back in Black is a year-round beer available in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like an American IPA but with the addition of rich, dark malts, this beer has all the flavor and hop character you expect with a smooth, mellow finish. Alcohol Content: 6.8%; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 65; Flavor Hops: Columbus, Centennial; Malts: Rahr Pale Malt, Crystal 45L, Munich, De-Bittered Black; Color: Midnight Black; Bittering Hops: Columbus; Yeast: Top Fermenting Ale Yeast
Farmhouse Saison Brewed with Organic Cardamom Pods. You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn't expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We're sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter. Sneak Attack is our late winter seasonal beer available from January through March in six pack cans and on draft. The perfect antidote to the big beers of winter, Sneak Attack is crisp, dry and palate cleansing. It pairs perfectly with the rich and warming foods of winter: Bouillabaise, sausages, smoked meats and full flavored cheeses. Alcohol Content: 6.2% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 38; Yeast: Saison Yeast; Malts: Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, Belgian Light Candi Sugar; Color: Pale Straw; Bittering Hops: Magnum; Flavor: Organic Cardamom Pods
Hell or High Watermelon, Wheat Beer
Like Lady Liberty, we stand for independence and perseverance. In the pursuit of innovative beer, there is no obstacle too great. No journey too long. No fruit too gigantic. This American wheat beer is brewed with real watermelon, for a flavor that's surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing-summer in a can. Hell or High Watermelon Wheat is our summer seasonal beer available from April through September in six pack cans and on draft. We start by brewing a classic American wheat beer, which undergoes a traditional secondary fermentation using fresh watermelon. A straw-colored, refreshing beer with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor. Alcohol Content: 4.9% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 17; Hops: Magnum; Flavor: 100% Fresh Watermelon Pure; Color: Pale Straw; Bittering Hops: Columbus; Yeast: Top Fermenting Ale Yeast; Malts: Two-Row Pale, White Wheat
Fireside Chat, Winter Spiced Ale
Like FDR's Depression-era radio addresses, which were like a kick in the butt and a hug at the same time, our Fireside Chat is a subtle twist on the traditional seasonal brew. We begin with a rich, dark, English-style ale and then we improvise with spices until we know we have a beer worth sharing with the nation. Fireside Chat is our early winter seasonal brew available from October through December in six pack cans and on draft. Brewed like a classic, warming Strong Ale but with a subtle blend of hand-selected spices for just the right festive flair. Alcohol Content: 7.9% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 45; Yeast: Ale Yeast; Special Ingredients: Spices, Cocoa Nibs; Color: Deep Ruby Brown; Hops: Magnum, Goldings; Malts: Pale, Munich, Wheat, Crystal, Aromatic, Chocolate Malt and De-Bittered Black
Marooned on Hog Island
Stout Brewed with Hog Island Sweetwater Oyster Shells. Exhausted by the tedious work and rancid beer, deck swabs O'Sullivan and Freccia abandoned Sir Francis Drake's Galleon. Days later, they washed up on a tiny island in Tomales Bay, where they encountered local oyster farmers John and Terry. Soon, these beer mutineers and oyster mercenaries were feasting on roast pig, fresh oysters and goblets of the captain's finest ale. They could think of worse fates than being Marooned on Hog Island. Marooned on Hog Island is our Collaboration beer with the Hog Island Oyster Company. A rich and chewy stout brewed with Hog Island Sweetwater oyster shells for a silky, salty finish. Available now in limited edition four-pack cans and draft. Alcohol Content: 7.9% by volume; Bittering Hops: Magnum, Willamette; Malts: Pale, Crystal, Rolled Oats, Carafa, Chocolate Malt, White Wheat; Color: Midnght Black; Yeast: Top Fermenting Ale Yeast; Special Ingredients: Hog Island Sweetwater Oysters
In 1859, Shaun and Nico arrive in San Francisco for the gold rush. Ten years late. That was Shaun's fault. They stop in Cornelius De Boom's supply store. Cornelius pegs our boys as suckers and sells them a forged "treasure map." Shaun and Nico find themselves in a dinghy in the middle of the Bay. "Curse you Cornelius!" Jumping in anyway, Shaun finds two boxes of riches: In one, gold ingots; in the other, a rare and perfectly preserved beer. Suddenly, the dinghy springs a leak! They leave the gold and grab the beer. With this "liquid gold," they become beer barons. They acquire De Boom Supply and throw Cornelius out the back door. Today whenever anyone gives them trouble, they exchange a look across the pub and say, "Lower De Boom." Lower De Boom is a powerfully balanced American-Style barleywine packed with citrusy Pacific Northwest hops. Chestnut brown in the glass with notes of toffee malt, fruitcake, toast, piney hops and more than a hint of alcohol. Our liquid gold is the first American craft beer in a can offered in the traditional barleywine "nip" size. Perfect to enjoy sipped at the end of a long day. More than that and you might feel like the boom has been lowered on you. Alcohol Content: 11.5% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 92; Flavor Hops: Amarillo, Cascade; Malts: Pale, Vienna, Munich, Crystal, De-bittered Black and Belgian Candi Sugar; Color: Chestnut Brown; Bittering Hops: Warrior; Yeast: Ale Yeast
Monk's Blood pays homage to the monk's of Belgium's monasteries who have been brewing some of the world's great beer for centuries. During times of fasting, the monks subsist solely on beer, which they refer to as 'liquid bread'. Beer, quite literally, is in their blood. The most sublime of the monk's premium brews is dark like blood, rich and nourishing. 21st Amendment founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O'Sullivan traveled to Belgium to develop the recipe for this special beer, visiting small, traditional breweries in the hop fields of west Flanders, not far from the famous Trappist abbey of Westvletren. Monk's Blood is designed to pair beautifully with rich winter stews, creamy cheeses, unctuous desserts or just by itself, in a Belgian tulip glass, with a good book by the fire. Alcohol Content: 8.3% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 34; Flavor Hops: Amarillo; Malts: European Pilsner, Vienna, Caramunich, Aromatic, Special B, Flakes Oats, Flaked Wheat; Color: Deep Mahogany; Bittering Hops: Magnum, Centennial; Yeast: Abbey Ale; Special Ingredients: Dark Belgian Candi Sugar, Ceylon Cinnamon, Vanilla Bean, Dried Black Mission Figs, Aged on Oak Spirals
Hop Crisis, Imperial IPA
Shaun and Nico have to break out of Alcatraz. And fast. The Hop Syndicate is hoarding hops, depriving the people of their right to hoppy, aromatic beer. Join Shaun and Nico on their adventure to Free the Hops! First, they plan a daring escape through the sewer pipe, then they surf monster waves on ironing boards, and finally they attempt a high speed cable car getaway. Hop Crisis. Crisis? What Crisis? In the early 2000s, when hop prices shot through the roof and the worldwide hop market went into a tailspin, at our pub in San Francisco we decided there was only one thing for us to do. We made the biggest, hoppiest IPA we could imagine and aged it on oak for good measure. This Imperial IPA breaks all the rules with more malt, more hops and more aroma. Alcohol Content: 9.7% by volume; Bitterness Units (IBUS): 94; Flavor Hops: Centennial, Equinox, Mandarina Bavaria, Row 21 (Eureka!), Citra; Malts: Pale Malt, Munich, What Malt, Dextrose; Color: Gold; Bittering Hops: Warrior; Yeast: Top Fermenting Ale Yeast; Special Ingredients: Aged on Oak

Staying in SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
