We stopped by here this morning around 9 a.m. (Sunday) and waited about 45 minutes for a table. This is not in the best neighborhood, but dang it was worth it! We were seated at the bar, which was an experience in itself. The service...More

I don't know how early you have to arrive to avoid the long line-ups, but we figured there is a table-turnover approximately every hour from opening time onwards. So perhaps that helps a bit. The baked goods were amazing - the cakes, muffin etc. are...More

Great tasting breakfast in a brick walled building with fun decor and pictures. Baked goods are made fresh daily onsite. Service was average in the speed department but the staff were nice, one lady comes across a little brash but I think it’s cultural. Food...More

Our family visited Dottie's for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The line was long, but we enjoyed the whole atmosphere. The area is a bit sketchy with many homeless living there, but we never felt frightened. The cafe is very homey. The service was good,...More

Solid breakfast food, not worth the 1.5 hour wait. Bloody Mary was acceptable, mimosas are hard to mess up; the egg sandwich was just ok and the frittata special was good...we also sampled the coffee cake which was good but not “hour and a half...More

We visited Dottie’s at 9am on a Sunday and had to queue for an hour! Highly recommend the pancakes! Although be aware that the neighbourhood is a bit rough!

Tiny bit of a wait but well worth it. Had brunch here for a party of six. Food was fantastic! Boutique restaurant with unique flavorful creations. Will definitely be back for more next time in SF.

We had breakfast here this morning and I really expected more. The portion sizes were amazing but the potatoes weren’t crispy, The house made dill bread was like a biscuit in bread shape but was dry and not “dilly“, and my sausage omelette had a...More

It seems to be that always is very special going to San Francisco and enjoy the beautiful city. We found this great restaurant for breakfast; the omelette was delicious with the big cornbread and the jalapeño jell. The fresh coffee and wonderful service make worth...More

The long lines always tell you the food is delicious and fairly priced. This time it was no different. After about 30 minutes of waiting in a long line, I finally got my seat. The place is quite spacious with nice decor and ambiance. Service...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated
vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs

I would assume about 7a.m. If that's your goal. The area is not the greatest there are a fair amount of homeless hanging around in the area. I felt more comfortable being in a bit of a crowd and not being the only one... More
