The volume and overall level of reviews for this place says it all. The atmosphere and menu are excellent. Service was also great. Highly recommended if you in the area and hungry for breakfast or lunch. Tip - get there early on the weekends or wait in a lineup that stretches around the corner.

With the recommendation from our hotel ( Marriott marquis)- we went for breakfast. Get there early ! Opens at 7:30a. We got there a little bit before they opened on a weekday and there was a small line already. Everything was delicious. Service was great. The walk there was a bit sketchy from our hotel (quite a bit of homeless)-... More

Such a great meal! The service is very good. The decor is really cool. The food is unbelievable. Make sure someone in your party gets the pancakes. I had the Southwestern Omelette. Best. Ever. Worth the wait. We went Friday at 11am and had a 20 minute wait. Just do it.

During our trip to San Francisco after reading reviews on TA and getting recommendation in our hotel, we decided to visit Dottie’s True Blue Café for breakfast. Our first attempt was unsuccessful. We came around 8:30-9am. The line was huge! And area where restaurant located is not nice. Homeless people are everywhere; the area is very dirty and smelly that... More

We walked up from our hotel for breakfast. We had to wait a bout 1/2hr as its so popular. If you are after a quick breakfast don't come up. It's not because they are slow just so popular that the wait to get in takes the longest. We had a fantastic breakfast. I had the wild boar sausages and they... More

Our family ended a great five day trip to San Francisco by having breakfast at Dottie's. The decor is cool, funky and cozy and the food is superb. We loved everything we had - egg combos, omelettes, oatmeal, pancakes, hot chocolate, etc. Great experience all the way around! Side note - the block or two south of the restaurant are... More

We waited over an hour in the rain, and it was worth it! Once we were seated, we got our food within 10 minutes of sitting (we knew exactly what wanted!) and the food was AMAZING! I got the Wiskey-Fennel Sausage Mushroom and Spinach Scramble and it was to die for--full of flavor! The corn bread was so good, the... More

Let me preface by saying that 1) I never go to any restaurant twice when I travel. It's a rule that I have. 2) I will never give 5 stars to a restaurant unless they're well deserved. My wife looked through Tripadvisor to figure out good places for breakfast near my Union Square hotel and found this place. So far,... More

Went with a friend for breakfast. Wait in line was about an hour but was worth every minute. Everything we had was amazing. The atmosphere is great and so was the service. Can't wait for my next trip to San Francisco because I will definitely be coming back. Don't let the wait or location discourage you from going. You will... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
