The food is very good especially the pastries and desserts. The wait to get in though was very long, about 40 minutes. Limited seating.

Every trip to San Francisco is never complete without a treat from Tartine. Last month on a short trip, a friend brought over a most delicious dessert. The Tres Leches Cake. Having returned home, I'm still craving for more. The only way out was to...More

A wrong turn resulted in an accidental visit to this amazing bakery. We were welcomed into the line up by repeat customers assuring us that it would be worth the wait. They were absolutely correct! The lemon cream tart was heavenly. Staff were especially helpful...More

My 3 teenagers and I stopped at Tartine based upon Tripadvisor reviews. We each sampled one of their items from morning buns (mmmm) to banana cream tarts (fabulous) The food was so good a passerby asked to take our picture.

Always a line in a gritty neighborhood but what a great bakery! The cafe ole is huge, the ham and cheese croissant is delicious as is the banana cream tart! The morning cinnamon roll is great also! Go, it's worth the wait and drive!

I would recommend the pastry, not so much the sandwiches. I got buttermilk scone and a lemon tart, which were both delicious. I would not recommend getting juice. Although it is freshly squeezed, for the amount u get, it doesn't seem worth the price. The...More

Most of the time the food is very good, a couple of times items have been a bit burnt and hard. Service is hot and cold.

This place is everything that it is cracked up to be. The morning bun was delectable. My husband had the spicy turkey and loved it. I did not really like the bread pudding, though. It was very "eggy," I would definitely pass on it and...More
