I was there for the day of the dead parade and had tamales y champurrado. The place was packed. It’s very authentically Mexican and the food is phenomenal! (Be prepared to converse in Spanish.)

I met out-of-state Mexican friends at El Metate. They live in the Northeast where authentic Mexican food is hard to come by. They pronounced the burritos "excellent". This is a restaurant where you order and pay at the bar, then wait staff brings your order...More

We pitched up outside for a beer whilst watching the day of the dead procession and stayed for dinner! Authentic Mexican food with a great atmosphere.
