This is Truly San Francisco's darling little secret. A friend and I decided to have foodie adventure and stumbled upon this beautiful area on Sacramento. It's a small restaurant behind a cute shopping area on Sacramento st. I tried and Cornish and whatever my friend ordered was tasty. It's a bit on the pricey side but I would return.

Sociale has gotten better over the past few years. Forget the ridiculous pronunciation gimmick with the name, but Sociale fulfills a critical role in the Laurel Village area as perhaps the most "neighborhoody" spot with food you'd actually want to eat -- the other contender being Garibaldi's, which can be good despite not enough elbow room, but it feels more... Sacramentos Street has a number of very good restaurants. Sociale is an elegant little space where you can be seated way too close to other diners. I loved the service, the petrale sole was very good, and I think the couples on either side of us were intrigued by my date and me. Had been there twice - will return... More

Tucked away down a little alley, wonderful white tablecloth restaurant. Delicious food, varied menu. Opted for lunch and Selected smoked duck soup and duck parpadelle. Even though they were both duck, the flavors were different. Delicious. Husband had Caesar salad and pico bolognese, wonderful. We shared a half bottle of Chianti. Excellent service. Dessert lovely.

Down a narrow alley, a small room that's cozy and friendly. Staff was great: very friendly, eager to talk about the food and make recommendations. Food was delicious. Can't go wrong.

Took my daughter and SIL for dinner, we all ordered different entrees and shared a salad and pasta. The steak was cooked to perfection. Chicken was a tad dry and quail was nice. All came with interesting and different sides. Wine list is good and service was on target. Good place for a small intimate dinner.

I went to recently on a date and found it to be overall quite good. The Perotto appetizer was good but not excellent. I thought they serve much better Barada at Resto bar in the Marina district on Chestnut Street. My talk entrée was very flavorful and weld prepared. My datesFish was excellent. The desserts were good but but nothing... More

Sociale is a wonderful experience. A lovely room with great people, food and wines. But it is the people that work there that make it extra special. We loved it.

Sociale is a small Italian restaurant worth visiting when in San Fran. I had the Tagliatelle with duck, which is their signature dish and it is understandable why - it was superb! Good wines and beers to go along with your dinner. Note that they only have wine and beer and no other alcoholic beverages.

We ate here with a dinner party following a wedding. Our group had a private room, with a menu of specially selected appetizers, entrees and desserts. The meal included champagne, and wines. We had at least three attendants, who were very busy keeping glasses filled and serving the food. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. This is a... More
