We went here because one of our party was vegan, and there was plenty here for them to eat. The food was pretty standard Ethiopian--good flavor but nothing special, and a bit pricey. Our waiter seemed grumpy and mumbled a lot. Also, there was a...More

Don't count out Cafe Ethiopia because of its unglamorous decor. This place is well worth a visit for traditional and flavorful food served as it should be - no utensils, just great flat bread. Give it a try and enjoy!

I have been coming here for a decade or more. I love their combination platters. The food is always super flavorful and not to rich (which can happen with Ethiopian). The ambiance is a little back alley, but who cares when the food is heavenly.

I was not impressed with the restaurant, the food, or the service. There is a high-pitched alarm on the entrance door that beeps loudly three times whenever anyone enters or leaves. For me, this alone would make the place a never-visit-again experience. Service was slow...More

We went here based on others reviews, and were glad we did. The food is served in traditional style and you use your hands. SO worth the adventure - the food was excellent, and reasonably priced in an area that is becoming quite upscale and...More

This is not fine dining, but it is a delicious, home-cooked Ethiopian taste experience. We enjoyed it all - sega tibs (beef), misir wat (spicy lentil stew), alecha (mixed veggie stew), but our very favorite was the Chicken and spinach stew. So good we had...More
