We live in SF and visit often. The food is awesome; the service impeccable and the ambience intimate. It is not inexpensive but definitely worth a visit and much better than many other restaurants with more Michelin stars.

As a native San Franciscan and one who dines out quite a bit--this is by far one of the top 2 restaurants in SF. (Gary Danko is my favorite but Acquerello is right behind it) Atmosphere: quiet, romantic, pleasing Service: attentive, without being hovering. The...More

I could go on and on with praise for this restaurant, but suffice it to say the service is extraordinary with attention to detail and knowledge of the menu by the professional, courteous, and friendly staff, the chef's presentations, preparation of the foods, and plate...More

I dined here with my mother and sister. As soon as the door swings open for you, someone appears behind you to grab your coat. We had the pix fixe menu, when our waiter discovered we were from Hawaii, his eyes lit up and he...More

When I first got the appetizer, I thought that I was going to feel bad that the portion was visually small. I ordered the steak tartare, and I expect to be served as much beef as a hamburger at the least. It was probably a...More

This restaurant is exceptionally good in every way except that the portions are too small to make a meal for a grown man. Each of the appetizer, pasta, and main course dishes contained approximately four bites. The failure to provide enough real food (desert doesn't...More

Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the
city and is home to amazing architecture and views.
The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for
those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be
rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful
architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated
with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all
were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that
