Stock and Trade was right across from our hotel, and it was our go-to place during our stay. Even if it was just for drinks and warm chocolate chip cookies. Plus over server was always fantastic. They have great drinks, apps and food. Plus an excellent Brunch with bottomless mimosas on the weekends.

Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon. We stopped on way back from Golden Gate Bridge. Spent a few hours here. Bartenders were awesome. Friendly and attentive. Great people hanging at bar also! Talkative and fun hangout. If we lived in this area we would be regulars. Brunch on Sunday has mimosas for $17 all can drink till 3 pm.

My brother, sister-in-law and myself arrived late at our accommodation on Lombard street, found this bar two doors down from where we were staying so decided to go there for a late dinner. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, food was awesome. We ate here several times during our stay in San Francisco, although the staff was... More

$3 drafts and $5 wine from 5:00 to 7:00. We were sidelined by rain and had been on the go for days so loved the respite from travel. Very much like corner bar at home. Really quiet for most of our two hours at the bar. We didn't eat but food looked good. This was right by our hotel and... More

Came here for a happy hours with a friends last night. Very small selection of food for HH, but the bartender was nice and friendly. The place was empty around 7pm compared to any other restaurant in the Marina. Also the place has a very weird smell. Not bad, not the best choice in the area.

We decided to eat here by looking on the app for nearby restaurants as we turned up to our hotel at about 9 so we needed to get somewhere quick. The food and service were both good but we were the only ones eating. There was a good atmosphere with many people just coming in for drinks.

Used this bar for 3 nights due to good reviews and being walking distance from our motel. There was a really good atmosphere each night, clearly used by the locals as well as visitors. Very good choice of beers. We ate here twice and my adult daughter raved so much about the burger she had that my wife and I... More

We chose this tavern because we had walked all day at Golden Gate Park and this was across from our hotel. Even though it was our default choice, the service and food was very good, and both food and beer prices were reasonable. We split the nachos and my husband enjoyed a couple of beers. Our server Amos was friendly... More

This is a great place to meet friends or enjoy a relaxing dinner. They have TVs but no volume as the music is the focus and not background noise. Amos was our waiter and he's a pro! Very attentive! My husband had the ribs which were fall off the bone good! The side slaw was just so so really could... More

We decided to eat near our hotel and looked around to see what was local. The food was very good, the service on the spot and it was a local type place. Was a good choice for dinner, may stop back in for a second round

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
