After wandering in the rain all morning along the waterfront, me sons and I were looking for a place to dry out and get some warm food in our bellies. As we were on Pier 39, it seemed appropriate to find a seafood restaurant and sample some chowder. Wanting someplace with some history and originality, we found the Eagle Café... More

From our window seat we had a beautiful view of The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the Bay. On a warmer day you can sit outdoors on tables and stools provided. In the heart of Pier 39 you would expect good food and service. We were NOT disappointed as the food was fresh, tasty and the service fantastic and... More

When you find something you enjoy, you find yourself returning. I sometimes think I might be guilty of this, a touch too often. I visited San Fran Piers, two years back, and spent a fabulous day there. This trip, my guy was with me, and I was sure what it was he would enjoy. So, I took him to Eagle... More

Having just returned from Hawaii we needed to kill time while we waited for our taxi to the airport so having looked around previously we decided to have late lunch here rather than the airport. We arrived and were shown to the back balcony with bar stools and a large bar type with lovely views towards Alcatraz island and the... More

Given the touristy location we did not have high expectations, but Eagle Cafe was very good. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was served quickly. Good quality also - the fish and chips were tasty and the fried clams excellent. It is a little pricey for a casual place but considering it is at Fishermans Wharf that's to... More

This is a popular place upstairs on Pier 39 and worth a visit. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. An extensive menu and good value. Four of us had breakfast and can recommend it.

Stopped in for lunch while touring Pier 39. The service was good, food arrived quickly. Chowder in a sourdough bowl was average for the pier restaurants but somewhat pricey for lunch- about $2-3 more than other sit-down restaurants on the pier.

A short scenic walk from our hotel, followed by breakfast with a view of the harbor at Pier 39 is a terrific way to start the day! The staff at The Eagle Cafe made us feel very welcome and the service was great. We recommend the veggie and the ham and cheddar cheese omelette that we ordered.

Generous portions of good food at Pier 39. Highly recommend the BLT and Shrimp Po Boy sandwiches. Clam chowder is good but I've had better at the wharf. Waiter was friendly and very helpful. Wine reasonably priced with generous pours. Downside not much view seating snd only one bathroom for busy restaurant.

We stopped here after wandering the Pier for awhile. We were after the lunch crowd so it wasn't busy. We were seated inside at a booth that looked out at the water, it is a great view. The prices on the menu are good considering how much food you get! I ordered the daily special which was fried clams, they... More
