Yummy sushi with a local restaurant. Food and service always consistent and reasonably priced. Good for families as well

Nothing beats watching the chef make the sushi you are about to eat. This small casual place allows you to sit at the bar and watch the chef work. The prices are great and so is the food.

The service is excellent and very quick if you're getting takeaway. The rolls are such good value for the money and are so good. Just know that the rolls are quite large. We ended up ordering too much multiple nights in a row. This place was so friendly and reasonably priced that I've now been every time I've been in... More

We came here for dinner and had bento boxes and sushi rolls. I thought the sushi and bento boxes were good value. The place seems kind of small. In the past when I came alone, I sat at the bar, but this time, I came with family and though they are not sushi fans, they like their dinner.

Good, fresh sushi served in a small restaurant on Polk where both the sushi chef and serving staff are friendly. It gets busy Sunday and Tuesday evenings, but does take-out too. No reservations

Me and my girl visited this place, it was about 8pm and we were looking for dinner, place was very busy and we went in and found the only open table, all the sushi bar seats were also full. We ordered fast, got drinks fast, were given complementery beans which was nice. The Sushi was very very good, both of... More

We loved thie food here, I had two sets of the house special sushi rolls and spicy tuna hand roll and whilst iam quite picky on my sushi fish, I found this to be very good. We also ordered the Chicken Tepanyaki bento box and this was also great. Easy quick and great good value food.

The rice was very well prepared, and the Nigiri cuts were generous. The sushi chef and all the staff was very friendly.

Came here for dinner. There was not enough seats for the five of us together. At the sushi bar, there was a three seater and a double seater separated by one other customers. The waitress sought the help of this customer and he agreed to move so we can seat as a family of five.. This is good initiative. We... More

We decided to try this little restaurant. It was close to our hotel and we had noticed it was busy every night we passed by it. There were 4 of us and we all LOVE sushi. We are from Chicago and frequent many different sushi places and have eaten in many other cities and always have enjoyed our meals. This... More

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
