We've been here a couple times and we are never disappointed with the food or pints. Don't be fooled by the prices, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Our children love the place too, Cornish pastie, pies, sausage rolls, fish and chips we've tried them all and love them all. If you enjoy a pint try the... More

Was introduced to Pig & Whistle by my son who went to nearby USF. Many of the patrons are USF students and at least one professor from the UK. It's a simple pub with a good offering of pub food which is not only inexpensive but quite good. For those who are wondering about their fish and chips, well, they... More

Of course when it comes to a "real English Pub" food is not the first thing that comes to mind! And it didn't, but when we saw Cornish Pasties and Sausage Rolls on the menu...well what are we waiting for! Sadly, our eager expectations were unmet! Having said that it was a great place that served my favorite beer -... More

Friendly atmosphere, nice selection of beers, not too busy at lunchtime. Typical American variant on British pub-food, often served by Australians. Fish and chips, cornish pasties and shepherds pie are all tasty treats. Guinness, Boddingtons and Newcastle Brown among the featured mainstay brews.

Had a large family gathering for a birthday at this pub. The staff were most helpful and accomodating from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was typically English and was great value and delicious. We stayed for the quiz which was very entertaining and great fun. This pub offers great value and I would highly recommend a... We went to the Pig & Whistle in the period between Christmas and New Year. There were not many diners but the bar was busy. Nice, wooden banquette seating and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food was miserable. I had bangers and mash. The bangers were dry, the mash thin, and the gravy could have been from a box. My husband's... More

We were tired, hungry and needed somewhere not too expensive to eat Food was very good- steak, roasted chicken breast, shepherd's pie and steak pie with drinks all for $60 (£36) Tried the fernet too- a herbal aperitif from Argentina/Italy. Not one for me but good to try- especially as it was a gift from the barman A good evening... More

My husband and I were craving fish and chips so we decided to try the Pig & Whistle. The fish and chips were ok. But the fried mushrooms are to die for. My husband has never had fried mushrooms before and he couldn't stop taking about how good they were. I love fried mushrooms and the Pig & Whistles are... More

This wa a recommendation and the food wa really good. You order at the bar, which is fine. No one came to our table except to deliver our food. Table was slightly unclean, a coaster and menu had something on them and the bathroom was not clean. Could have been worse, but not appealing. I would try again though.
