Sit near the windows so you can enjoy the people watching as much as the food. The Harvey Burger and fries ($11) was fine; I loved the Aztec Salad ($12) a hearty blend of greens, beans, grilled chicken and taco chips. If you’re there for happy hour (3-6 pm) definitely get the nachos ($5) - a heaping plate with lots... More

Have visited Harvey's during every trip to SF. You have to try their garlic fries!! Lovely feel to the place and the service was as fantastic as ever, even though our waiter was busy busy. If you see a seat in the window, grab it and spend a few hours taking in the Castro!!!

This place is amazing. Great food, staff and in the heart of the Castro. The menu is very diverse with vegan choices also. The portions are just right.

Glad we found Harvey's on our visit to Castro. Exceptional service and food at a very busy time. Waiter Erik saved the day for us when he ran after us with our credit card that we accidentally left behind. Highly recommend!

The food was very good!! I went by recommendations of the locals of the city. I had a burger with garlic fries and some hot wings, and a side salad. It was Superb!!! Nice portions size and the price is absolutely affordable. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So no trip to San Fran is complete without getting to the Castro and visiting the place where Harvey Milk began his political career. While there stop in to this great cafe for some lovely food while watching the world go by from the huge open windows into the street. We had Cobb Salads and Soup - excellent quality and... More

After walking up and down The Castro we decided to go into Harvey's-Right on the Corner. We walked in and were told to take a seat any where. We took a low seat and we were served by Mellisa. What fantastic Service from the onset. Mellisa Dissed Us Out. Great and extensive menu-great wine and a great atmosphere. The tables... More

I like to have a pimento cheese and bacon sandwich( called a grown up cheese sandwich) which is EXCELLENT. I then either get the side of chili or cole slaw.

On my last San Francisco Trip I spent hours in this great location: good food, nice drinks (large Mimosas) and great & friendly staff. A good place for meeting people, just relax and drinking and people watching.

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
