This place used to be good like 10 years ago. Now, the staff is polite and efficient, the chef mediocre, the nigiri sushi quality horrific (compared to what you can get down the street in JapanTown) and way over priced. They still get "the unknowing tourist" and locals who go there for convenience. To the owners: Please improve quality! I... More

Went in for a late lunch. We were the only 2 sitting at the sushi bar-counter. It was about 430pm. I ordered some draft beer at happy hour prices of $1.75 and even got a Saki bomb drink at $2. Saki bomb is a shot of Saki sitting on top of two chopsticks placed over the mouth of a beer.... More

Fantastic!! Just walked there from the Payne Mansion. Awesome rolls, traditional sushi chef that was old school cool. Great plum wine. Fresh n very tasty. We are picky n ask for no unagi sauce n no eel n our rolls were made to perfection. Strongly recommend this place. And... Do a $2 saki bomb.

Excellent sushi - quite expensive but absolutely reasonable price for what you are served! Waitress and chefs are extremely nice. Absolutely worth a go!

We stopped in here after having a horrible experience at a sushi place down the road and it was beyond more impressive and better service. The sushi is great and was of good quality. The prices are fair and there are some great deals...get the bento box! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Thought the sushi was great here. Was in San Fran with my family on vacation and after we did a vote on what type of food it was to be, we headed to the nearest sushi place which turned out to be Kyoto. Wasn't expecting much based on the reviews but I thought the quality was great and the service... More

When I lived in San Francisco at DBC I would go here periodically and I remembered it as being much better than it currently is. I ordered my standard, Unagi, Maguro, Sake and Spider Roll. I was in the mood for tempura, and thought why not since I was very hungry. I also ordered a beer. The staff was very... More

We found this place by accident on the way to japan town. It's an all you can eat sushi that are made to order. It wasn't cheap but reasonable by S.F. standards. Sushi were fresh and tasty. Each roll is huge. One issue I had there was too much rice in the rolls. I thought they could have made rolls... More

We were really looking forward to some west coast inspired sushi (Cali roles) but we ended up very disappointed. I suppose my order was ok (incl. much rice) and the $1 beer is great, but the place is rather tacky with Japanese music videos running on the wall and a classy conveyor belt sushi bar. My wife ordered the all... More
