The food was excellent and the restaurant was very cute. It looks like a small restaurant but keeps going back and opens up into a another big room. The service and the food were great. You have to get the protobello mushroom fries! I could have made my meal just on those! We shared that with the table, then I... More

Great hidden location. Outside/ inside dining. No reservation walked up. Has happy hour options. Pricey. Food and drinks were great. Waiter was very attentive and personable. Ordered the crab Ragu app, chicken Parmesan, and the lobster roll. Everything was delicious and our drinks were great as well. Def a hidden gem and cute ally way ambience.

Looking for something to eat in SF at 10PM turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Luckily we found Sauce on walking distance from our hotel. We simply had the best bacon wrapped scallops ever! Absolutely delicious. Very kind staff, nice interior, good vibes all over. An absolute must if you're looking for something special.

Just got into town on a Sunday night and ended up at Sauce, around the corner from my hotel. The menu had a great sounding range of dishes. I had a great short rib pot roast over a fantastic bowl of veggies. One of the best I've ever had. The meals at the tables around me also looked great. Great... More

SO GOOD. I went with 3 friends, and we all shared, tapas style. We got the beef carpaccio, baby pot pies, sliders, meatloaf, and the side of greens. Such excellent food, well plated and with great balancing flavors and textures. Cute and simple atmosphere.

At Sauce: Gough we serve what we like to call "Social Cuisine" - American comfort fare so good you'll want everyone at the table to try a bite. It's shared food without the tiny plates. Come sample Chef Ben's creations along with some drinks in the intimate Supper Club; cozy up to the beautiful redwood bar for a signature cocktail; or, enjoy a meal in the bustling main dining room. Experience what happens when Comfort Food meets California Cuisine — it could be our Tomato Bisque
with white truffle grilled cheese sticks; Portobello mushroom fries; or our signature applewood-smoked-bacon wrapped meatloaf, something is sure to tickle your fancy. Located just a few blocks from the civic center in Hayes Valley, Sauce: Gough is the welcoming result of three partners' desire to create a comfortable spot for drinking and dining.
