It's a small, cozy Italian restaurant that actually has a great atmosphere. The food was just OK and not worth the price at all. The spaghetti was over cooked and the portions were quite small. The bread tasted very stale. The waitress seemed quite annoyed to be serving us. And do not order the flourless chocolate cake! It was so... More

Delicious food and quaint Italian decor, very small dining area, but well worth it. I highly recommend it!

After a very long first night out in San Francisco, Cesario's was the first restaurant I stumbled upon the following afternoon and my goodness, it was an absolute blessing. Lovely service, with just the right amount of interaction (neither ignored nor hovered - just perfect); succinct yet inclusive menu; reasonably priced; but (as I always write) most importantly - tasty... I had the veal Parmesan and my husband the spaghetti with prawns. We split the meals and devoured them both. The seasoning for the bread was delicious. We will go again if we are back this way. Waitress was lacking and never asked if we needed anything else but we overlooked that aspect because the food was so good.

Have eaten dinner at this restaurant twice. First time, both meal and service were very good. Second time, this evening, was somewhat disappointing. My two companions both enjoyed their meals, but my saltimbocca was tough, dry, and too salty. I'm giving three stars as a compromise.

While in san fran ventured out to find a place for dinner. Being a thursday didn't really consider needing a reservation. What was I thinking San Fran is pretty touristy this time of year. Walked in was asked if I had reservation replied no and was told to give us a few minutes. About ten to be exact some rearranging... More

This place is small. Total seating capacity of 49, and it feels it. But if you can get past that, it's a wonderful experience, with fresh, authentic Italian food coupled with outstanding service. Located about two blocks from Union Square, it is a great location, not far from the Theater District. I highly recommend the Tuscan Chicken. Amazing!

Visited with hubby and I tried the fish special of the day which was very tasty. Meatballs were good too, though there were only 3 of them and he would have liked more. Canoli was nice too.
