The menu is amazing, always including the freshest local ingredients, combined in very tasteful and interesting ways. Their menu is creative, their staff is smart and attentive, and the place looks beautiful. The neighborhood is always sunny too. Be sure to make a reservation because...More

Last night's heirloom tomato salad and the Pizza Bianchi were heavenly! And don't miss their homemade lemonade. This cozy neighborhood spot is one of my favorites for an informal, satisfying bite. Thank you Piccino!

For an average brunch entree at $18.00 I expected more. Much more. The ingredients were good and touted as farm to table. ( Now becoming a cliche ) my guests settled for the scrambled eggs with fresh corn, potatoes, and tomatoes. The scrambled eggs were...More

Nine of us for dinner, including two vegans. the staff was very friendly and accommodating, making sure the vegans were taken care of as well. Four pizzas, four salads, some wine, and two desserts with their added 20% gratuity $900. San Francisco is pricey!

Pizzas well done but a bit sparse as toppings -- how about more than 1 basil leaf on the estrada: heirloom tomato, gaeta olive, mozzarella, fontina, basil, chili oil pizza? This is a good salad: piccino fields radish, snap pea, tonnato, puffed rice, almond, crispy...More

Delicious pizzas and salads. Interesting wine list includes wine by the glass/half carafe and carafe plus bottles. Service is excellent and the wait staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Recommended! Best to make a reservation, especially during peak dining times.

We were introduced to this great local restaurant by a friend who works close by. The food is farm sourced and simply but very well cooked and presented. A really lovely vibe where locals and newbies are greeted with equal enthusiasm. The place was packed...More

This place is superb. All the food was delicious - burrata, cavatelli for myself - the service was very attentive and the wine and beer selection excellent.

I give a 4 because of the followings: 1- the food portion is fairly small and not worth the price 2-There is a charge to refill your coffee which is absurd for these type of restaurants. 3-Overall pricey, food wasn't a wow. You can find...More

We tried this restaurant on a recommendation but had no reservations. It was noon on a Sunday. We were able to get seats at the bar and were thrilled. We watched as a chef brushed Chanterelles with a paint brush to clean them, analyzing each...More

Description
When we opened the doors of our tiny restaurant in December 2006, our goal was to make Piccino as welcoming as the home of a close friend, our food as simple and beautifully executed as possible. We"re honored that Piccino became a thriving hub of the community. And in May of 2011 we moved from our original space into a new home (dubbed The Yellow Building) on the corner of 22nd & Minnesota Streets, which we share with our friends MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing), and DIG wine shop. Our menu still features the classic and seasonally driven thin-crust pizzas and polpette (Tuscan-style pork and beef meatballs) Piccino is known for; our salads and soups use the finest organic produce sourced directly from small local farms. Piccino's menu has expanded to include more small starter plates, house-made pastas, contorni (vegetable sides), and special entrees of meat, fish, or poultry. Seasonal desserts and expertly made coffee complete our daily offerings.
