We came here on our first day in San Francisco. Great selection of beer - spoilt for choice. The food was good, mainly sandwiches on the menu, I went for the veggie option which was good! Overall a nice chilled bar!

If your looking for something quick, I found you have to sit yourself, look at the menu on the table and then find a waitress to take your order. And if this is your first time, good luck!

My wife and I dropped into this place after a show for a late dessert, and although they were out of one of the items listed on the board outside, the other option sounded just as good, so we went with that: bread pudding with...banana and peanut butter. We had plans for drinks back in our hotel, so we skipped the booze, although this is a good spot for beer if that is your jam—we prefer cider instead, and although the one that they had on tap was good it was but one among maybe two dozen beers on tap. SF needs to get on the craft cider bandwagon. The dessert was good, and we eagerly devoured it while reviewing the highlights of our evening.More

I had the habanero chicken sausage sandwich minus the fennel and apples. It was delicious! The roasted beets with goat cheese were also phenomenal! My husband enjoyed them and he typically does not like beets at all. I love a good sour craft beer and...they had several on the menu. I ended up picking the Big Stump Grab a Peach Sour. It was perfection. You have to walk up to the bar to order food and each drink but it is a rather small place, so that really isn't much of a chore. The bartender was very nice. I would definitely go back.More

Visited here for lunch and a beer whilst in San Francisco. The food was amazing, the beer choice great, service brilliant and atmosphere very cool. I went for the Abe Froman dog and my partner went with the Hog Cobb salad, both were delicious! I...heartedly recommend checking out Hogwash if you're in townMore

Came to San Francisco for a conference. First day stopped here for lunch. I had the homemade potato chips and pretzel roll (yea, I know carb city) but it was well worth it. Both were served warm. The chips had salt and pepper and the...roll served with homemade beer cheese. Delicious. The Hubbs had the Burning Brock with was so tasty. Don’t be put off by the fried avocado, it truly was yummy.More

Found this place by accident. The beers are amazing and the sausages are the best. I recommend the Abe Froman Beef sausage sandwich.

They have several sausage sandwiches to choose from, I eventually decided to go with the cheddar bacon sausage. It didnt take very long for our food to come out. The sausage was excellent. Id get it again.

This place is focussed on sausages with some interesting flavours. The beer selection is huge - I loved the cucumber beer and will need to find some online to buy. Really nice atmosphere in here too, he bar staff are great.

Hogwash does not pretend to be more than it is not. they serve good sausages and other related foods alongside a great beer selection. They are not gourmet, not do they pretend to be but the food is very good, well priced and served quickly.

This isn't the place to go if you want a large and varied menu. Instead of offering a bit of everything, they focus their menu and offer sausages in many variants as well as even more variants of beer. If you like sausages and beer...you'll love Hogwash.More

There are several tables that seat 4-6. It is first come first served and I've heard a line can form out the door. If you get there early enough you can grab all you can. Seating at the bar is about 10.
