As Coppola's huge fans, we were really looking forward to eat in this restaurant full of history. I ordered pastas with clams and was really disappointed but probably not as much as my daughter who ordered a calzone that was stuffed with so much cheese...More

Really enjoyed my evening meal in this well known Italian restaurant. Ordered the chicken cacciatore from the specials menu and savoured every bite! Not what we’d get in Ireland under the same name, I was pleasantly surprised by the slow cooked chicken thighs, swimming in...More

I'm a fan of film and being in San Francisco, I could not pass up the chance to have lunch in the Zoetrope Building in a restaurant owned by Francis Ford Coppola. We made a detour while walking Chinatown around lunch time on a Wednesday....More

I mainly came here because I heard they had a short story vending machine (it's true, they do!). I ordered their puttanesca pasta which was good, but for an Italian establishment, I was a little disappointed. I had a less expensive dish in NASHVILLE of...More

Came to this restaurant on my last night in Sean Francisco. The restaurant was nice in itself, however staff could probably be a tad more attentive. Ordered one of their Italian Sausage and mushroom pizzas which in fairness tasted very nice. Probably would return.

Stumbled upon Zeotrope while walking through town. The building is distinctive and dramatic, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We had coffee, served in an appropriate authentic Italian espresso-drink style, and sat in the window to people-watch. Didn't try the food or wine, but what...More

Cafe Zoetrope is part of Francis Ford Coppola's gastronomic empire. It's primarily a wine bar featuring Coppola varietals, but also offers a number of other good wines, all at reasonable prices (for San Francisco). The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like a European bistro, especially...More

Had a confirmed reservation. They had my contact email and phone number. Travelled specifically there from out of town. It was shut for Easter. Thanks for the curtesy of bothering to let us know and ruining our Easter Day. 🤬😡

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

No there isn't. In San Francisco you don't usually have a car. We walked from California and Stockton. It' s not hilly over there and it close to the financial district.
