I've been here a couple times now, and have never had a bad experience. The vibe is fun and intimate, the service is good, and I've always enjoyed the food/wine. The gnocchi on special we had last time was some of the best I've ever...More

A must for film buffs or if you like Italian food. Authentic feeling. Any more Italian and I would have to fly to Italy, lol. Food was delicious and the service was great too! Highly recommend it on your next visit to San Fran!

The ingredients are excellent and the preparation perfect. The pasta are cooked perfectly, and the simple ones like tomato basil or puttanesca are addictive. You also can't go wrong with the pizzas. The value is as good as it gets in the city.

Just along the road from our hotel and in a very prominent building you can't help but notice this place. If you come across it then make sure you stop by. Great happy hour offers of $6 food and drink items. The lamb rolls were...More

Saw this place while exploring the city on the Big Bus Tour and heard the history about it so thought we'd try it out. Lucky we booked a table as it's very small - looks like the local Italians love it! It's quirky, fun and...More

As Coppola's huge fans, we were really looking forward to eat in this restaurant full of history. I ordered pastas with clams and was really disappointed but probably not as much as my daughter who ordered a calzone that was stuffed with so much cheese...More

Really enjoyed my evening meal in this well known Italian restaurant. Ordered the chicken cacciatore from the specials menu and savoured every bite! Not what we’d get in Ireland under the same name, I was pleasantly surprised by the slow cooked chicken thighs, swimming in...More

I'm a fan of film and being in San Francisco, I could not pass up the chance to have lunch in the Zoetrope Building in a restaurant owned by Francis Ford Coppola. We made a detour while walking Chinatown around lunch time on a Wednesday....More

I mainly came here because I heard they had a short story vending machine (it's true, they do!). I ordered their puttanesca pasta which was good, but for an Italian establishment, I was a little disappointed. I had a less expensive dish in NASHVILLE of...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

No there isn't. In San Francisco you don't usually have a car. We walked from California and Stockton. It' s not hilly over there and it close to the financial district.
