We used to eat here every time we came to San Francisco. Could be counted on for a not great but solid traditional italian meal. It's really gone downhill now. The wait staff is adequate but no more--we sat waiting for someone to recognize us...More

Went for lunch with some friends and wasn't expecting much, as it's a bit of a "touristy" place in North Beach, and they usually have bad food, bad service, or both. The service was quite good, attentive but not intrusive. The house red wine (blend)...More

Francis Ford Coppola's restaurant but more like something out of Europe - quaint, excellent decor, delicious food. Selection of wines outstanding and not as expensive as other venues. Went there 3 times!

Lovely little vibe, strong Italian influence with some celebrity photos on the wall. Service was very good, pricey but so is everything in San Fran. I had meatballs and my friend had a pizza! It was very flavoursome! Defo recommend this place.

Arrived an hour before closing. Staff was clearly not interested in serving us. They were too busy cleaning up. Have never been in a restaurant where they put the chairs up on the tables next to you while you were still eating. There were at...More

Great atmosphere, loved the short story machine, nice waitstaff. I ordered the cream of portobello soup and my daughter ordered the prosciutto pizza. Maybe it was all the high sodium, maybe it was something else, but within 20 minutes of eating, I wasn’t feeling well....More

Great service in a relaxed style. Food was very good and wine excellent. Had a custom pizza which came with a light thin crust and was very tasty

I am sure there are many other better italian places in town. Most salient feature here is the Coppola winery. Place is owned by Francis, hence lots of pictures and movies memorabilia. Rude service.

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

No there isn't. In San Francisco you don't usually have a car. We walked from California and Stockton. It' s not hilly over there and it close to the financial district.
