Seeking out yummy veg-fare, we found this little gem. While the "restaurant" isn't much to look at on the surface (small with bar-like seating for maybe 10 people) , the food we tried was simply delicious. I had a crostata and it was gorgeous - flaky pastry, melted cheesy middle... really really tasty! And their small salad easily fed the... More

The two DJs were so bad they played a track for 10 seconds and then they skiped to another track. If I could name the DJ(s) I would name them DJ skip hard. Between 22:00 and 01:30 the share of female tourists and hookers was OK. After 01:30 the share of hookers was around 80%.

A sketchy part of the city but the soup is worth it! The pea & slow cooked pork had a great flavor although the vegan pea soup was hearty & homey. The pulled pork sandwich on cornbread was crazy delicious...no doubt so bad for you...but the smaller portion made it all ok! The southwestern chicken sandwich sounded full of flavor... More

Salads were great and they change their menu every day... the walk over there was a little shady but we had no issues.

We had a chicken roll with almonds and salad...boy was it good!!! The surrounding area is slightly dubious but its worth striding confidently through...everyone was actually very friendly. Enjoy!!!

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
