My God! This is one of those small places that totally fools you up. Those are the best southern chicken wings I have ever had. The food is off the charts! The waitress was outstanding. Very friendly staff. Great selection of beers. Don't miss out!

On our way back from the Loop Road trip we stopped at Joanie's Blue Crab Cafe as we did once before. No changes inside and out, still the same old (rough) place. But that's what attacts bypassers and us too. Don't expect anything fancy, the...More

While driving along the 41 (Tamiami Trail) we stopped for lunch at Joanie's cafe. It was an experience. Lots of photos and funny sayings in the cafe and also in the toilets. Food was very good. Service was excellent in a down to earth manner.

Stopped en route to the loop to see gators. Two of us ordered the crab cake salad and fried shrimp basket. Both delicious!

Try not to miss this local color cafe for a true experience of "Old Florida' and the Everglades. It is among the few restaurants located in the remote Everglades but worth a stop. The menu was interesting and the service friendly. There is outside roadside...More

We had lunch here on a drive back to Naples from Miami. The building itself is neat; a mishmash of tables, areas to sit, from indoor wooden tables to a large screened in porch, to a back deck looking over some water and greenery. It's...More

At one point in time.... Long ago, I saw this restaurant was for sale. My idea was to call it "foreverglades@". Someway Somehow I wanted to keep it "classic Ochopee" but make it a STOP for those who would like to learn more about how every little bit helps to save the glades. What are your thoughts? Beatrice, former concessionaire for the JNDing Darling National Wildlife refuge were 14% of every dollar earned was put to use expressly for the Wildlife Refuge System.

I do not know if they offer gluten free options. Best bet would be to send them an e-mail. You may be able to do that on their web site.
