I was in the mood to try some down home local cuisine and hit the jackpot at Black-Eyed Pea! A pretty busy place, I was seated immediately. The menu offered many tempting choices and I opted for the pot roast with choice of 2 sides...More
Disappointed because I ate here a couple of years ago and it was really good. I got to return today, and took my husband, after bragging about this place. The corn bread tasted old and it was cold. After being wowed by the portion I...More
Service was slow, not because they were busy. I ordered a Caesar salad, it was brown, a gentleman ordered a salad across from us, his was brown as well, waitress told the manager, he did nothing! First and last time here

You really can't beat eating lunch here. An entrée and two sides with bread for $6.99. I had turkey with dressing, squash casserole, carrots, cornbread and a roll. Very good and served quickly.

I haven't eaten here in awhile and forgot how much I enjoy their food. The chicken fried steak was delicious as well as my two sides. The restaurant was clean and neat. I'll be back!

What's not to like? You can just almost anything here. The rolls and cornbread are fabulous, and so are the veggies. Try their squash casserole. Amazing!
