Avocado tacos and urban orchard hard cider were excellent. The veggie wrap and fries were ok. Lots of beers to choose from.

I love Asheville! I love the people, I love the culture, I love the food, I love the bars! I think this place is ok. I mean I wasn't overly thrilled with it, the staff could have cared less anyone was there except for one gentleman who seemed to be the only person who loved their job. The beer was... More

We stopped in after dinner on a Friday night. We stayed on the main level. My husband did go downstairs and said the downstairs bar was a cool environment as well. The bartenders were great discussing beers and did great choosing a beer for my husband to try. We took home a growler of beer as well. We loved the... More

Excellent beer, excellent food, great atmosphere! We managed to get two bar seats on a Saturday afternoon...started to get a little warm inside so they opened up the front area which let some nice cool air in. Bartender was well versed in the beer types. Kitchen guy was quick and food was great....tried tacos...very yummy!

The upper floor features American made craft beer. The lower floor has Belgian style craft beer. I like Belgians so downstairs I go to the "cavern". Usually more quiet and subdued. Place for a nice chat while having your Belgian style beer. Snacks can be ordered downstairs. Beer cheese dip with pretzels and the beer cheese nachos go great with... More

The place had an excellent selection of beer, although places with a great beer selection are a dime a dozen in Asheville. The service was terse. I don't think my bartender ever actually said a word to me after taking my order, and he used the minimum there too. The place wasn't exactly packed at the time either.

Can't comment on prior reviews about bad service but my experience was just the opposite. Pick a nice day. Any day frankly. Go with a friend and settle up to the bar and 'be nice'. And these guys will pour out their knowledge to you and yes they know their stuff. I've traveled to all the big beer towns in... More

We stopped at the bar for a few drinks while we were waiting for our seat open up at a nearby restaurant. For that reason, it was extremely convenient. They also had a great beer selection; however, the bartender was rude and had a bit of s short temper if you asked questions or were not sure what you wanted.... More

Visited here a few days ago at the recommendation of a friend. Dive bar with a lot of young locals. They have a nice downstairs which is less crowded. They also have an upstairs which is like a Prohibition era bar. Craft cocktails and snacks only requires a $1 membership fee to get in due to local laws.

One bartender working, and there must have been 25 people in the place. Considering it is the week between Christmas and New Year's, I would expect establishments such as this to be prepared for larger crowds. We left and headed elsewhere. While the bartender was busy, he wasn't remotely friendly either.
