This was my second time here while visiting Asheville and each time has been great. They have a great selection of local beers which is great for an out of towner like me wanting to try beers from a variety of their local breweries. Its all under one roof so it makes it very convenient. The staff has always been... More

This was our 3rd visit to the thirsty monk, and we really enjoy it. The main level is kind of dive looking, but great service. My husband really enjoys going downstairs to the bar, cozy dark wood, relaxed seating area, and I enjoy going to the Top of the Monk. You do have to become a member (no big deal)... More

Great place to meet with friends! Central location is good place to meet up with friends to get a sampling of seasonal microbrews and Asheville staples. I had the Noble Ginger Cider very refreshing!

I came here with a friend from out of town. We went bar hopping for him even tho I faked that I liked beer. The bartender noticed and gave me wine instead lol. They were soo sweet.

We visited the Thirsty Monk before a LaZoom Comedy tour which is really convenient. We had a few beers before our tour. The Pub has a very impressive selection of local and non-local drafts. They actually brew beer as well which we didn't know. We did not spend too long, but the bartender was helpful and quick since we didn't... More

I have to tell you, despite the great selection of craft beer on tap, until this evening has had deplorable customer service. You would either be treated rude or completely ignored by the bartenders. The situation was pretty well known in the beer circles. However, tonight was quite different. The bartender Matt Walter was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'll be... More

Asheville is a town of great beer joints. This is one of the better options. Nice selection of domestics on tap, plus a basement bar specializing in Belgian beer. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Worth a visit.
