This was a cute happening little place in a funky area. Parking and making reservations was a breeze. It was a tad noisy so we opted to eat at the bar and we were well cared for by the bartender. EVERYTHING was awesome. From the tangerine cocktail to the strawberry salad to the redfish. I love fish... but I don't... More

In the river art district. Arrived at 7 on a sat night. Seated immediately and service was awesome the whole time. Food was really really good. A little pricey but worth it considering parking is free with no wait. We had the foisgras corn dogs and the ribs. Killer!

Their website says that they only use "sustainable, humanely-raised, and chemical free meats & fish," but they serve fois gras. Fois gras is made by force-feeding corn down a duck's throat with a feeding tube until its liver enlarges. This is an inhumane and terrible practice. No restaurant that is truly dedicated to humanely raised animals would serve it. I... More

The Junction is a short drive (5 min) from downtown Asheville in the River Arts District. Unfortunately, far to few people venture out or those that go to view the art leave when the shops close rather than stay for dinner. If you are in either of those groups, you are missing out on one of the great Asheville restaurant... More

This modern restaurant features a range of small and large plate items, all inspired by favorite Southern comfort dishes. The food is from local farms, with several gluten-free and vegan options. The service was superb. On the noisy side, so be prepared to speak up during peak hours.

As locals, we are always looking for great places to eat. Somehow we had missed The Junction until now. The food was creative and delicious. I had the fried chicken with a cauliflower creation and turkey collard greens. My mate had the pork shank. We also had oysters as our appetizer, and all of it was very good. The service... More

We had brunch here on New Year's Day and the food was great. No alcohol until noon but the seafood plate that I had and the chicken pot pie were great. The cornbread was amazing and that's from someone who doesn't like cornbread! The chef delivered the food personally and made us feel welcome and the rest of the staff... More

It's been two years since I first reviewed The Junction, and I'm returning to say that it is still first choice for my partner and me when we are in Asheville. The city is full of excellent restaurants, many of which we return to and enjoy, but Junction remains our favorite. We've eaten there perhaps a dozen times since my... More

The cocktails here are fantastic. The seafood plate I had contained shrimp, clams and mussels. The sauce was heavy, "interesting" and definitely covered the flavors of the seafood. It wouldn't matter WHAT you had with this sauce, it would cover the flavor of the meat. 2 mussels were not open, which meant they were dead, not fresh when they were... More

In the river arts district near the Wedge brewing and New Belgium, this is a little off the beaten path, but it was worth the trip. We started with fried oysters, cornbread with honey and melted pimento cheese (yum!) and fois gras corn dogs with 3 dipping sauces-- all recommended by our very friendly waitress. Zero disappointments. We followed with... More

The Junction is the first full service restaurant in Asheville's River Arts District. We feature Southern-inspired farm to table fare and seasonal craft cocktails with fresh ingredients. We brine our fried chicken, smoke our pears, handcraft our soups and visit tailgate markets weekly. We make our own bacon and ketchup, squeeze cases of citrus each week for cocktails and work with other local, small businesses whenever possible. We invite you to join us after work for a casual beer and a burger at the bar, or to bring your beloved or whole family for a unique dining experience. Our menu features a combination of soups, salads and sharing plates as well as hearty entree options so that every dining experience is unique.
