If you love lemon curd, try the lemon curd tart with meringue. It is fantastic!!! Don't know about the coffee or the other sweets but if they are as good as that lemon tart you won't want to miss this place.
I stopped by Karen Donatelli's the other day and had one of their Chocolate Chip & Macadamia nut cookies. All I can say is "WOW!!!!!" They are delicious and affordable. I am never less than thrilled with whatever treat I get there.

Had coffee and a tuna salad croissant at Donatelli's Bakery on Haywood Street. Probably the best coffee in Asheville (my wife had a latte.) Excellent croissant with tuna salad and fresh fruit. All was very good.
What a unique pleasure. Delicious food, excellent service and an old world atmosphere. This is the place to go for evening and after-dinner fare.
