After visiting the North Carolina Glass Center we hopped across the street to the wedge for a cold beer. They have rotating food trucks, indoor and outdoor seating.. best park.. you can bring your four legged buddies!

Enjoy some fresh seasonal brews here. Love eating peanuts, watching freight trains, and want to bring your dog? The Wedge is it and you're not the first to know - this place is popular on a warm evening. Get there early to get a good spot. : )

We stumbled on this by accident. We arrived early for our SUP trip nearby and stopped in to check out for later. They have plenty of parking and lots to see. We arrived around lunch time and found a very busy food truck serving lunch. They were still there when we returned for happy hour. The beer selection is quite... More

There's no lounge with plush sofas but the quirky stools are more comfy than they look. What you get is a lively bar with staff who know their beers. They brew a wide range of styles and my flight of four went down very well. They have beers to suit all tastes.

The Wedge is a building that holds both a restaurant and a multitude of art studios and galleries. We only visited the art galleries and studios. There are some great artists here. mostly working artists. This is a fun place to start in the art district with a lot of parking. Have fun and take your time. Something for everyone's... More

Artisan deconstructing old items and repurposing into new, pretty cool. Brewery has a bathroom! The river area is really a repurposed defunct industrial site that is very forward thinking. We all could take a lesson from the fact that the greenest building is an existing building.

This is where the locals go in Asheville to get some really good local brew down by the river. It is not a very polished environment but its close to River Arts and did I say the beer was good? Fun, eclectic crowd.

Rather a dumpy venue at first glance but artsy and very family and pet friendly. The beers are reasonably priced and of exceptional quality. They often have new brews on tap that I have never been disappointed with. Worth the trip to Asheville. The food comes from food trucks.

Another tasting room in the Beer City of America - Asheville, NC. It's near where New Belgium Brewing announced just last week the building of their new brewery in Asheville. They make one of the best IPA microbrews I've ever tasted - Iron Rail IPA. It's so good they have a separate buying station just for it.
