My husband and I stopped in for some lunch. We were impressed with the service and the food. I chose their seasonal salad and lobster bisque. My husband had a black bean burger. The flavors were great in all of the dishes. I thought the price point was fair, so no problems there. I would definitely eat there again.

Went for a weekday lunch with family. The food and service was excellent. Several of us had different sandwiches and all reports were that they were great. Nice ambiance too!

I had a great lunch ! My server: Ashley, the bartender and the manager were very nice. The ambiance and interior and woodworking was first class ! I loved the brisket-BBQ with cheese, coleslaw and the BEST sweet sauce I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of BBQ ! The Creme Brulee was really good ! I... More

beet salad app with cheese and pistachio nuts over dressed lettuce was tasty and unique. the entree of poached salmon was fine but nothing special. the broccolini and mashed cauliflower and sauce was very good, but the fish itself was a little dry and somewhat tasteless. good wine selection. nice atmosphere. good service. would try it again

Love this restaurant. Meat and cheese board is the best in the city. The little nibble from the chef is always good

Let me start by thanking our waitress for getting our food out so we would have time for our show. Chestnut is a must stop for a great meal and excellent presentation. The place has a nice atmosphere and quiet vibe, at least for lunch. We originally opted for a couple of Irish places, but being St. Pats we would have... More

This place is a little upscale, but the chef was impressive, the service excellant, the food mouthwatering and the ambiance outstanding. They had good sound control so even though there were a lot people there, you could easily hear each other and other noise was in the background. It reminded me of global grill in Pensacola which I love A definite stop in the... More

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch at Chestnut last week. The server really went above and beyond by bringing a mug of warm water for my daughter to warm her hands, without out a request on our part. She thought my daughter looked cold and wanted to help her warm up! The food was as excellent as the... More

My first visit to Chestnut. It won't be my last. Started with the kale salad with fried calamari. Wonderful! Also had the smal charcuterie plate which was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I'll certainly return when back in Asheville.

Description
Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.
