My family took me out for my birthday, and I chose Red Ginger on the recommendation of a cousin who is a successful restaurant owner and chef in San Antonio. We had great service and we loved the food. We ordered a number of small...More

Food was mediocre and expensive. Our server Zach however was fantastic! As locals, we all decided that our hometown has much better offerings.

I love the small plate concept. My lobster in ginger sauce was perfect, I tried California Rolls for the first time and loved them too. Same for the Spring Rolls. We will definitely go back. And the fried rice and spicy grilled shrimp with green...More

Service was OK but the Chinese food was not to our liking. No not order the ribs--Edamame and sweet and sour soup was good- the szechaun wonton were oK not great and the tofu stir fry for so-so.

Red Ginger is an oasis of asian fusion and a true delight. Recomend you dedicate time there to graze through the menu as we did. The asian food store nearby is also great!!

I stopped in for a late lunch just before they closed. I had the dimsum sampler, which when I ordered had no idea what it was. Turned out to be a very tasty, yet light meal. They seemed a little frustrated that I came in...More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Asheville. Have been there numerous times and always good. Wide variety of tapas choices. If in Asheville make sure to visit.

Went here for dinner based on the reviews but was disappointed with the food, service and price. The lighting is also too bright for dinner. The menu attempts to be inventive but combines ingredients that don’t really compliment one another. It’s as if the “chef”...More

I love dim sum and tapas, meals made of small plates, so I was predisposed to love this place, and I did. My only regret was that there were only two of us and we couldn't try more of the menu items. We had difficulty...More

Tables can be rather close together. Might depend on the age and behavior of the kid/baby.

As far as I remember, there is no specific parking for the restaurant. Downtown is busy but there are parking decks that you can use. On street parking is just a matter of luck and you might have to feed a meter.

Description
Located in Downtown Asheville, Red Ginger is an authentic Chinese dimsum and tapas bar from the esteemed Chef Tai Tsi Lam and Hao Jiang. Red Ginger's constant goal is to deliver traditional, healthful, and elegant Chinese-style tapas and dim sum to our vibrant mountain community, providing customers with the most authentic and fulfilling dining experience possible. In contrast to the more traditional dim sum experience, wherein guests choose dishes from a rolling cart, Red Ginger embraces a dynamic and interactive dining experience: our open kitchen allows you to truly become a part of the experience that is dim sum, giving you an inside look into the artistry of our seasoned chefs. All dishes consist solely of freshly prepared ingredients, transported directly from local farms straight to your table! And we take it one step further - our extensive and delicious assortment of wines are carefully and lovingly cultivated from our own local vineyard, delivering the highest quality in taste and experience to our valued customers.
