One of the best culinary experiences we've ever had! Our server Luisa was fantastic! From the cocktails to the great quality of the food & the ambience!😍🙌🏻 If We could only return every single day to dine there, life will be perfect. 👌🏻

La Voile offers a real French atmosphere.and food. The food is wonderful with a prix fix menu if you want, and a nice selection of wine. In summer you can eat outside, right on Newbury Street. My number one French restaurant in Boston at a reasonable price.

I dad lunch in this lovely Newbury St. restaurant with 3 other girlfriends on a snowy Saturday afternoon. Food was excellent and bloody Mary's were deliciously spicy. We shared the mushroom risotto and escargot as appetizers. I ordered the prosciutto salad and the others had quiche. Quiche was the best we've ever tasted. We also had coffee with bailey's, a... Authentic French bistro, a tad noisy, not the quiet and elegant place we had hoped for and as it appears on the web, but excellent food, excellent service. The place was very busy on a weekend night, but it all worked like clockwork. Wines by the glass had been superbly selected; my friend liked her Trintaudon. The background music was... More

A perfect Newbury Street experience on a cold January night was had by my wife and me. Food, service, ambiance were all perfect . The staff couldn't be friendlier. La Voile gives a lie to the haughty French stereotype.

I've been all over France, especially the Cote d'Azur, and I know French food. This was the real thing, in Boston! Even if it's pretty high priced, you are simply not going to eat this well unless you go to France. And the wine list...extensive, with bottles that would be hard to find even if you knew where to look... More

We had the rib eye steak, which we found tender and quite juicy, but a little sinewy. It was good for the price, though, and the garlic butter sauce (I can't recall the full name) complimented the steak very well. FYI - the "Taste of France" three-course menu for $45 will probably give you the most bang for your buck.

Lovely ambience, reasonably spacious, not too noisy, but mediocre cooking, and unreasonably expensive...there are far better restaurants nearby for a lot less money. Dover sole lacked the taste that makes it special, rare, and expensive (but it was still expensive). Duck was tough. Beans were soggy and overcooked. Onion soup lacked character. Bread was pedestrian. Wine was unreasonably expensive.

Sitting elbow to elbow was not much fun as my waiter had to bump me to serve the next table - but the food was a delight for all four of us. Very French and well done with all that one expects of sauces and preparations.

Duck was delicious and had surprising flavor combinations. I would recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning. I usually avoid restaurants on Newbury St but decided to give this one a try on a whim- very glad I did!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
