Sunny south end eatery with a glowing staff and delicious menu options. Recommend for dinner in the summer as you can sit outside, and in the winter most the tables in the back are high-tops. I enjoyed the Buttery breakfast, which was a great balance of sweet (pancakes) and savory (eggs and bacon).

We had a late breakfast (noonish) on a Sunday and really liked it here. I had the breakfast sandwich which was great. We sat at the bar and ate , everyone was nice and it had a family feel to it. Recommended.

Only grabbed coffee and a scone, but the space is super cute, a gem in a gorgeous neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit.

The steak frites is excellent! Fun place for brunch as well. A local gem. Highly recommend sitting at the bar.

I live in the neighborhood and want to love this place. For a while, the food was truly underwhelming and I hoped and wished it would improve AND IT DID!! Three of us showed up for brunch this weekend and it wasn't until we sat down and had ordered a drink when we looked at our menu and realized it... More

Many people don't realize this cafe also has a bar and restaurant. Request a table near the fireplace downstairs. The room is cozy and intimate. Hira was our server and very welcoming. I had the Kale & Brussels Sprouts Salad and Butternut Bisque. My partner had the Bolognese pasta dish. Great food!

Great place for brunch or picking up coffee or pastries. There is usually line so reservations are highly recommended. Place is small and "lively".

We had 2 visits here. Our first night in Boston we enjoyed our evening meal here. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and shown to a cosy little table downstairs and had the most simple yet delicious meal. The wine was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing. I couldn't finish my meal but was offered a doggy bag. It... More

We went here for dinner to celebrate two of our friends birthdays. The food is usually good and the drinks are terrific. Got my burger medium not medium rare...but it was still OK. Love this place EXCEPT for the downstairs dinning room. This is the second time we had dinner here. Both times it was extremely loud you had to... More

My daughter went into Boston for a ladies' brunch. We were seated downstairs in a very cozy room with exposed brick and a working gas fireplace. Our waitress greeted us quickly and gave us time to look at the menu. Not huge m end, but definitely enough options for us. We shared a delicious butterscotch scone w/cream & jam. I... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
