Stopped in here on a mini-bar hop our second evening in Boston. Had the usual Guinness and ordered the classic hot dog with chili and cheese, along with chili cheese fries (we had been drinking lol!!). Food was slow to be delivered and was solid, but not memorable. Definitely a tourist Irish bar and not a memorable one!

Looking for a place to get out of the weather and a quick drink we came upon Paddy O's. From t h e window it looked average. The musican playing stuck his tongue out at my wife looking in. We Found a Gem in Boston. From the authentic Irish bartender to the gentleman playing live everyone was friendly and made... More

What could possible be better than spending the afternoon walking around Boston and as the temperature drops, ducking in to a tavern for a warm Irish coffee?!! The hospitality from the Irish bartender was as warm as our Irish coffee; she made us feel right at home! Such a comfortable environment for out-of-towners that can sometimes feel as "outsiders" at... More

I visited here twice while in Boston and enjoyed it both times. Loved the musicians who catered to our '90s music requests, great service at the bar and decent bar food. Great, chill hang out spot.

Stopped in to Paddy O's for a couple of drinks (4:00 PM-ish) on our way from the Boston Public Market and out to dinner. Drinks were just fine but felt bad for the one staff person working! She did her best to wait on all of the patrons AND act as bartender! She was great, friendly and worked as fast... More

We were here looking for a place to watch football. It was PERFECT. It happened to be during the Christmas Pub Crawl, so the patrons were decked out. They were in such a great holiday spirit and so friendly. We stayed for several hours and the wait staff was fantastic. Always accommodating and checking in on us.

This place was ok until the rude bartender was nasty with me about a chipped glass. Glasses are chipped in bars all the time. I had one and pointed it out to the bartender. She then proceeded to pour the beer into another glass. The problem with this, as every bartender knows, is that there may be glass fragments in... More

Had been walking a long time. Thought we would stop for a beer and some wings (wing/oyster special written at door). Ordered beer and 6 wings each. Later came back and said they were out of wings. We didn't order dinner, as it was like 2 in the afternoon, not many people in there. Finished our beer and as leaving... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
