Went to dinner on a Friday night and it was cool. The restaurant was a little dull color wise and furniture wise but the service was excellent. The food was ok. My lobster mac and cheese had two pieces of lobster not enough to me. My steak was a little dry but my cousin loved the hen. The bread they... More

Dinner with my brother there last noc. They were able to seat us early after a cocktail at the bar. Menu very interesting. Beef Wellington was very good and so hard to find elsewhere. Brother really seemed to enjoy the steak frites. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was elegant and a little more precious than the hardliner steak places... More

Excellent drinks. Excellent stakes. Beef Wellington is to die for. Sides were fantastic. Recommend for special event, for hosting customers. When money is not an object... It is worth the money! Also have a wine cellar for special event that can fit large groups

Dined here for sisters 50th birthday in Feb 2017. The food was excellent with a great atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Would recommend for that special occasion.Deducted one star as special request on making reservation was not attended to. This had the potential to spoil the entire evening. ie surprise guests

My wife and I have enjoyed many high end restaurants and even though Mooo considers itself a steak house it is much more then that. The atmosphere was elegant without being intimidating. The service was excellent and prompt without being pushy or belittling. Extensive wine list and well rounded starters menu. I highly recommend the lobster bisque, you are in... More

My wife and I had heard for a while this place was great. Unfortunately that was not the experience we had. It took about 15 minutes after being seated just for someone to give us menus and that was the pace for the service the entire night. In addition we were told the chef recommends steaks be cooked medium rare... More

I've eaten here several times and have always been a fan of their food. After a fantastic Valentine's day dinner, I felt it deserved a review. We were seated in the wine cellar, which was perfectly intimate with only 5 other tables set for couples. The decor wasn't overdone, but we appreciated the fresh roses that were set out. The... Ate by myself but did not feel weird being alone. Ordered a steak and plenty of martini's. All were perfect.

We stayed at the XV Beacon and ate at Moo twice and had room service from there as well. The food is very good and the service was excellent. Very attentive and not intrusive.

Following my second visit to this pithily named restaurant I wanted to comment on how incredible this establishment truly is in the collection of great Boston Steak Houses. True, I have only experienced lunch here (so far) but I can tell you that I feel this is one of the finest restaurants to which I have enjoyed. First, for those... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
