Very good but not fantastic Mediterranean restaurant. Very good lentil soup, and the different chicken dishes are great. the hummus is particularly good here. Excellent service good vibe. Great option in this neighborhood

Stopped in this place with some classmates because it is right down the street from our school. I absolutely loved their food and the taste. I have gotten the lentil soup several times and would drive all the way to Boston (2hrs away from my home) to get it again. Their lunch plates were very full and delicious, and on... More

I've driven by this place for years and never stopped in. It's in a spot that I'd not have stopped ever except there's a (great) cobbler tucked around the corner and my friend and I went to pick up some shoes he'd fixed for me and decided to grab lunch. We each got a chicken shwarma sandwich. He got no... More

We’ve recently become big fans of Pita in the South End and get take-out dinners there almost every week and occasionally pick up lunch (same menu). I love the tender, moist chicken kebobs, while my husband favors the lamb. We get the dinner plates, which include very tasty rice and a salad with a tart dressing. We’ve also tried the... More

I really love the food at Pita-mostly I have the combo plates or a roll up. If you ask for it specifically, they will bring you some Moroccan tea. Order at the counter and they will deliver your food to your table-or enjoy take out. You can eat in the little park across the street. They are pretty busy at... More

I stopped by Pita today and decided to try the first thing on the sign outside their shop, Chicken Shawarma.. It was a nice big "sub" sized rolled-up Pita Sandwich with Seasoned Chicken, Hummus, Lettuce, Cucumbers, Pickles, and Tahini Sauce, I also decided to get the additional Garlic Sauce. After my tip, I spent just under 8 dollars.. this sandwich... More

I really liked the food. It was quickly served and fresh. The veggies in the salad were excellent, very fresh! The staff was grumpy and not at all friendly, no smiles at all but I really don't care because they make good hummus and the falafel was yummy too. I did expect the pita bread to be a little bit... I went there before, but won't be back! I walked into order and watched the person at the counter totally disregard his business opportunity. ..which was me standing in front of him!! So play on your phone and don't worry about the customer. ..I just left!!!

I came across this restaurant while helping a friend attend to her mother who lives in the residential complex above the ground floor commercial space on Massachusetts Ave. Went in on an impromptu basis to pick up a quick dinner for me and my vegetarian daughters. The restaurant is small and mainly take out though there are a few tables... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
