While you can get sandwiches, deli items, olive oils etc., this is more of a place for people who are a bit more adventurous or who are looking for real, specific Italian grocery items. Bottarga, cuttle fish ink, truffles etc are some of the items...More

Best place in North End for a sandwich. Just off of Hanover Street. Several available from menu on board. Or make your own with the excellent lunch meats and breads for sale. I made mine out of 1/4 pound of porchetta (superb) and a ciabatta...More

Be sure to try the Olive oil and the Balsamic Vinegar suggested by the staff. The Cheeses are great and carefully selected. The bread is excellent. The fresh mozzarella is a must. Don't forget to choose a sandwich if it's convenient.

Italian bread, olive salad, cheese, and deli meats. Perhaps the perfect Italian sandwich. Huge, easily can be shared, especially if one plans to get a slice of pizza and cannoli later. It is easy to eat ones way through the North End.

I ran into this place by accident while touring Boston and needing a quick snack. I ordered the Olive Salad with sundried tomatoes and a container of fresh mozzarella balls in olive oil with herbs. They were both incredible. My wife who does not generally...More

I visit Salumeria every time I go to Boston's North End. Tasting great olive oils and balsamic vinegars before buying is so much fun and the selection can't be topped. Salted capers, olives and so much more from the case are such a treat. And...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church
