Fish & Chips dinner has french fries, cole slaw, very good fish,& fried onions on top. Four pieces of fish over the fries served in a large tin. WOW!

Had the crab cake with salad and a side of onion strings. The onion strings portion was massive, and probably the wrong choice against the delicate and delicious crab cake, but they were decent onion strings! The crab cake and salad absolutely great, although for me the crabcake portion was very small for the money. I would have preferred a... More

Being from the UK we love Fish and Chips (fitting the Stereotype and no mistake Guv'nor) but finding Gluten Free options is always limited, however this restaurant ticks the box superbly. It's in a great location on the harbour and has a nice atmosphere and decor. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Really enjoyed the Gluten Free options, I... More

Being near the ocean begs the question of what you will eat when you visit Boston. If fish is your desire, there is no better place than Legal Seafood.

One of our worst experiences in Boston. Rude host. Smelled bad. Too expensive. I can't say one thing good about this place. We moved over to Starbucks to get away from the chaos and arrogance.

This is a chain restaurant with excellent traditional seafood menu. Best for families. The one in Copley Square Mall has nice view. Recommended.

Great seafood and excellent service. Start with Boston chowder and then anything on the menu will satisfy your culinary needs. In fact, their motto is " if it isn't fresh, it isn't legal ". Plenty of locations to choose from. My personal preference is the Waterfront restaurant. However, you may opt for cocktails on the roof deck in their newest... More

This place was recommended by my local customer from Chelsea. He stated that he and his wife visit every weekend. I see why, it was excellent. Service was impeccable and very attentive. Had a lobster (of course) and thoroughly enjoyed it. A wide selection of items on the menu to please any diner. Parking is a challenge in this area,... More

Never Disappoints, and the heavy burden we place on Legal Seafood is that we only eat there about 1 time a year on visits . . . the wine selection is very nice, and reasonably priced, i resolve over-and-over again to get something different, but i just always get the same, cup-of-chowda & the Fisherman's platter, and eat till i... The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish.

Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels.

We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
