My friends and I hung out at the pub this past weekend and couldn't recommend this place enough. Great food, service and atmosphere, Dave was awesome what a great barman. If I owned a bar I would want Dave running it - I will always remember walking in and him singing along to Journey - awesome!

Third visit in a week and not without good reason. Sure I had better beer elsewhere in the city but for a great atmosphere this place is hard to beat. Food surprised me too, the Clam Chowder is top notch and the rest of the menu looks excellent too. We'll be back, next year...

Visited here a lot as it was a minute away from hotel. Great little bar. Better than the main Beantown Bar which is more for students and younger people. The Hub has a great cast of characters in it's staff including Ash, Keana, Happy Ralph and of course the vocally talented Dave. A warm welcome everytime we went in.

My husband and I go to the Hub Pub every time we are in Boston. They have the best barternders and fair prices. Always have a good time.

We went here on our first night in Boston after a long 12 hour journey! The barman was really friendly. We initially decided to come for a quick bite to eat but ended up staying most of the night! Plus we ordered 2 burgers and chips for $5 each as it was a Sunday offer!

Found this place on my first night in the rain, my hotel was just around the corner. Frequented mainly by locals from the building above the staff and customers were all really friendly. The beers on offer were great and the food was good but not expensive. I visited a number of times through my week in Boston and it... More

I was here with a friend, and our desire was to have the possibility to spend some time talking. Here the music is not too loud, so it's possible to talk, and the place is lively enough that you can feel comfortable joking and laughing. I think it's a nice place to go with a friend, maybe the best with... More

Happened upon the Hub Pub on a cold Saturday afternoon in Beantown. Great atmosphere, good food and eclectic crowd. Would love to have been there during a Pats, Bruins, Red Sox or Celtics game. Fun place.

We went with friends after a long day sight seeing and what a disappointment. Waitress was lovely and served our meal of turkey and cold potatoes we explained the dish was cold and she took all meals back. They reappeared after 10 mins with potatoes slightly warmer but turkey now cold!! Waitress noted 2 of the party hadn't eaten the... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
