I had a bowl of steamers (the clams with the black tail) which were absolutely wonderful, small steamed lobster and berry crumble for desert. The steamers exceeded my expectations, the lobster was very nice as expected, the berry crumble was a disappointment as it was way too sweet and had too much syrup in it. The service from my waiter... More

Across the street from our hotel, the Mandarin Oriental, we dined at the Atlantic Fish Company both nights we stayed simply because we didn't think any other place could do better. As a family, we all bickered because we couldn't decide whose choice of main meal was better! Both nights I had the Beet and Goat's Cheese salad - the... More

Reasonable price with an excellent clam chowder and a good and huge (but too spicy) lobster a la diablo.

I go here regularly when visiting Boston and have never been disappointed. A bit pricey but worth it if you love fresh sea food.

We ate here on New Year's Eve. We had the Chilean Sea Bass and the Grilled Tuna. We ordered a salad prior to the meal and it was served generously on a plate that could have been shared. The fish was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The presentation, however, was minimal. We had the red crushed potatoes as a side.... More

I came here with my son to celebrate my birthday. We were seated by the windows along the street and received very attentive service. The waiter even flagged my son down on his way to the bathroom to ask him what my favorite dessert was. He not only brought out mine (which was enough for two) but brought a second... More

Whenever in Boston, I always visit for a casual lunch or dinner. As a Bostonian, I am always in need of a good piece of Scrod when visiting home so this is the go to place. My wife ventures out more toward the the wine list, bar, chowder, salads and the excellent variety of entrees. We usually stay in BackBay... More

Don't pass up the clam chowder! It was phenomenal! I was traveling alone, and elected to sit at the bar. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice and the patio out front was inviting. Next time I'm in Boston, I will be returning!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
