I went here with some friends when I was visiting Boston. It is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The sides are very big, so it’s a good idea to share. The service was great and so was the atmosphere.

Food and wine were really delicious: crab cake, salmon tartar and Chardonnay from Sonoma - Kistler Wineyards. But the noise was really a problem...

We had and an absolutely terrific experience at this long established Boston steakhouse. Started with a couple of drinks in the lower bar which led to an interesting discussion with Sevan (server) and Brad (THE beverage guy) concerning the wonderful scotch (and other whiskey) options...More

Grill 23 is a great venue for a social client dinner. It's a back bay institution. Steaks are routinely outstanding. It's fairly noisy in the main dining room ... some would call that atmosphere. It's at the upper end price wise among good steak houses....More

The 100 day aged ribeye was the best steak I've ever put in my mouth. Compliment that with the Grill23 tots and you have one amazing meal you won't soon forget. For dessert, I suggest the coconut cake. The portions are huge. We split it...More

We went as a couple and both ordered a filet(their specialty) and my wife liked her steak but mine was ordered medium and was presented with a nice pink center. It looked good but was dry and not very favorable. We ordered the crispy hash...More

Great location in downtown Boston, historic building with decorative columns, high ceilings and rich, dark wood. Friendly, well-trained staff and interesting selection of beef and seafood entree's. We had the Kobe Beef and Aged Ribeye which were outstanding. Great place with a lively atmosphere!

The meal and service was exactly what you would expect from looking at this place and menu. It's not cheap but the food was amazing as was the service! The wait staff knew the menu and wine list inside out and were more than happy...More

Yes, I think you will be pleased. The staff is very attentive. We were a party of 8 on the second floor corner and it felt private and quiet. It's a boisterous restaurant so you may want to express your desire for a quieter... More
