I went here with some friends when I was visiting Boston. It is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The sides are very big, so it’s a good idea to share. The service was great and so was the atmosphere.

We had and an absolutely terrific experience at this long established Boston steakhouse. Started with a couple of drinks in the lower bar which led to an interesting discussion with Sevan (server) and Brad (THE beverage guy) concerning the wonderful scotch (and other whiskey) options...More
Grill 23 is a great venue for a social client dinner. It's a back bay institution. Steaks are routinely outstanding. It's fairly noisy in the main dining room ... some would call that atmosphere. It's at the upper end price wise among good steak houses....More

Entertained clients last night at Grill 23 where the service was outstanding. Our steaks/entrees took over an hour on a Tuesday night where some of the steaks were over cooked. On a positive note, the head waiter recommended a seafood appetizer sampler that was off...More

Great location in downtown Boston, historic building with decorative columns, high ceilings and rich, dark wood. Friendly, well-trained staff and interesting selection of beef and seafood entree's. We had the Kobe Beef and Aged Ribeye which were outstanding. Great place with a lively atmosphere!
