We were looking for a place to eat after the theatre. We were seated promptly and the service was great. Almost too fast, they are obviously geared toward people who need to get to a performance, but never felt rushed. The food portions were good, not megasized as is sometimes the cse, and excellently prepared.

Teatro is a great stop for a pre-theater drink, snack or dinner. We were greeted warmly, and attentive service continued throughout. Excellent appetizers and pastas were accompanied by a great list of Italian wines. Loved this place!

This restaurant is super busy so you must book in advance if you have any hope of getting a table but there's a reason why - the food is absolutely incredible! I had the octopus to start, which was sublime and I don't think an over-exaggeration to say the best octopus I've ever had. So tender and flavoursome. Despite the... More

Ate at Teatro with a friend on a very busy Saturday night. They took us in ahead of our reservation. The food was very good, arugula and kale salads, then pasta. We love the half portions! Yet the glass of wine was generous. The atmosphere is bright, modern with house music, a bit noisy for conversation. We really enjoyed our... More

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal before the theater on a busy Friday. The wait staff was attentive and helpful . The mussel appetizer was very flavorful, almost like a stew. My husband's salmon was moist and delicious with a nice array of fresh vegetables. My eggplant rollatini was a real winner. Simply delicious. The vanilla bean panna... More

When Teatro first opened I wasn't a fan - trying to be trendy and attracting the must-be-seen crowd. It is a decade or so later and Teatro has risen to the occasion to be one off Boston's more sincere restaurants.... From the Crudo to the risotto,m these extremely well prepared offerings pair amazingly well with the very approachable wine list.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
