Giacomo's is a historical family-owned restaurant, was there for decades. Their food is exceptional, Lobter ravioli or any dish with Giacomo sauce!!!, they accept cash only, as many other bakeries and restaurants in north end- be aware :)

Overwhelming amount of Italian eatiers in the north end. Decided to just pick a spot. Waited in line for about 10 mins, seated smack dab in middle of tiny dining room. Waited on almost instantly, even though the placed was super busy. Brought out a...bread basket, 3 slices of bread for 2 people, no butter. Ordered a glass of prosecco, delicious! Ordered the special, 1/2 lobster, mussels and clams over linguine with choice of sauce. Went with Fra diablo, heaven! Food was fantastic, but very messy! Would definantly recommend!More
I should have known better than to take my Italian girlfriends to an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. They're all excellent cooks and I can tell you this is not an Italian restaurant. We boarded wine and we asked the waitress for a glass of...dry Chardonnay she told us she doesn't drink wine and she doesn't really know which other wines are dry The calamari was dry and peppers in it. One friend ordered ziti and meatballs marinara meatballs were hard the Ziti was not ziti it's mostaccioli when confronting the waitress she said that said no it's mostacholi she said oh well I'm Italian but I didn't know the difference. The olive oil is bland the way just said they only had a little bit of Parmesan cheese left in the restaurant. None was so the table. Another friend had Ziti with shrimp scallops broccoli in a scampi style very bland served again with mostaccioli not ziti Eggplant parmesan was good not amazing. When we first arrived they asked a couple to move out of a table of four while they were eating for we could sit down . Embarrassing for both of us.More
Small, comfortable and welcoming Italian restaurant with delicious food and fantastic customer service. Very budget friendly as well.
Christopher our waiter was outstanding!! We enjoyed our dinner everything was served hot and fresh. We highly recommend.
As we were looking for a restaurant in the North End we noticed people waiting on line and decided it must be good so on line we went We were lucky they called for a party of two so our wait was short. The service...is great and the house salad was very good. We ordered the garlic bread and that was so yummy. I had the pumpkin stuffed tortellini with mascarpone. It was so different and so creamy.I almost ate the whole thing. My husband had the veil parmigiana and his opinion was it was GOOD. I was just sorry later that I left three tortellini. I wanted more!More
We heard great things about this restaurant but we left disappointed. We waited about 10 minutes in line around 4:45 and were seated upstairs. The food was alright, nothing great. The portions were large though. I ordered sangria, but it was not housemade and had...no fruit in it. Our bread was cold. Our waitress was downright rude to everyone. She never said thank you to anyone and was slamming things around. She yelled at a lady who was helping pass out food because the lady couldn't figure out which table the food belonged to. The waitress then berated and humiliated the busboy, who was an older gentleman. Apparently the waitress was angry because he seated several parties at the same time because tables were available. She kept yelling that she was the one who would need to wait on everyone with food coming out at the same time. That waitress was so mean to him that it literally disgusted me. I have never seen anything like that in my life. If management is reading this, you need to fire that waitress asap. She is in the wrong industry.--She has a thin build, short bob wearing bright lipstick, and was working upstairs. The busboy was an older man who didn't seem to speak English well. I do not recommend this restaurant. There are other places with much better food where you won't have to witness childish behavior from an unhappy waitress.More
Good experience but not as spectacular as we had hoped based on all we had heard about North End Italian restaurants. It was a pleasant evening so we sat outside. Food was good, but not great. Service was just okay. As that was our only...night to experience an Italian dinner in the North End, we were a little disappointed.More
Was recommended this place by a friend . First impression was not good. Two waitresses were very rude and ignored us and made us wait on the sidewalk for sometime. Finally a nice gentleman told us to come on in and take a window seat....Our waitress Dana was fantastic though, she kind of made up for the other two. They were out eggplant Parmesan at 4 pm which was very disappointing so I had chicken Parmesan. It was OK but I think I’ve had better. My husband had linguine with mussels and Calamari. He thought it was very good. Very small spaceMore
Plain simple ……. They are so many ristorante but for us this is IT!! Greatness for true Italian pasta in the North end of Boston! Must willing to wait but truly worth IT!
have loved this restaurant for years! we are italian and they always had the best food. finally went a few weeks ago. sooo disappointed. had the special fusilli with lobster and shrimp which was always my favorite BUT could not find the lobster. Always had...plenty of shrimp and big chunks of lobster but not his time! decided to give it one more shot so went Saturday night with friends. Meatballs had no taste whatsover, and they were hard, gravy needed to be cooked a whole lot more. bread was burned and hard as a rock. only great thing about the visit was our waiter Christopher. come on!!! seriously..............unfortunately we will not be going back. I guess we will leave it to the tourists.More
First visit since CovID. Better than ever. Had marvelous calamari and Maine crab cakes for apps. 1/2 lobster with shrimp and mussels in Fracomo sauce. Halibut with gnocchi. Shrimp fra diavolo gnocchi with goat cheese. Cannoli for desert. Nobody does seafood and Italian together like...Giacomo’s. The value is greatMore
Did Giacomos for lunch. We were going to do it for dinner, but it was close to the Freedom Trail so we stopped. Had Shrimp Linguine with pesto sauce. It was delicious. My wife had Chicken Marsala and loved it. Complimentary bread was fresh and...thick. Would definitely eat there again!! Gina was fantastic.More
I've eaten at almost every restaurant in the North End and I'm always confused as to how this one has the longest line. The food isn't bad, but I believe that there are definitely better options elsewhere in terms of getting an authentic Italian meal....I will say though, the manager and staff are very kind and accomodating.More
After a day of travel by car, we didn’t feel like waiting for a table and opted for take out. Having eaten at Giacomo’s several times in the past while visiting Boston, I had fond memories and was excited for my dinner. After a year...of COVID adjustments, you would expect their take out game to be strong. That was a bad assumption. The food was fine. The timing was poor. They also only gave one utensil pack for two entrees. Skip the line and go elsewhere. I think they have outlived the hype. Their prices might be attractive, but it’s not worth the wait,More
