Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went here on a recommendation and had a great meal. Very busy but we got 2 seats at the bar. Food was excellent, as was the wine and the service (Megan was lovely). Def recommend a visit here for just drinks or food.

There are so many great Italian restaurants to choose from in Boston's North End, and this one should be at (or near) the top of your list. Great menu! My only complaint was that service seemed to be a little quick - I know, usually we all complain about slow service, but I almost felt rushed by our waitress, like... More

We come to Brocco often. Sometimes we dine at a table, other we stop by the bar for a few appetizers. The pumpkin tortellini dish is simply amazing! They have a great salmon dish, as well. The vibe is great, always great people and service.

My wife and I went here on our first trip to Boston recently and we really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. My wife is a vegetarian and the range of dishes on offer for her was the best of all the places we went to during our week in the city. I would thoroughly recommend Briccos if you want... More

My 17-year old daughter and I were visiting colleges in Boston, and the concierge at the Ritz Carlton suggested this restaurant. Apparently, they had us pegged as tourists so they seated us near the wait station. The server fawned over the guests at the next table, who were seated after us, before taking our order. The restaurant was crowded and... More

We dropped in after a long day of meetings. I have to say that the staff was excellent - very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We are seated along the side wall and despite the close quarters, we didn't really hear the conversations on either side of us. This was due to the generally heightened noise level of all conversations. To... More

The tables are cramped and the noise level significant but the food is worth the extra annoyance. Many of the dishes are finished in a wood burning oven. Wine list is reasonably priced

I ordered the 35 day dry aged New York strip Angus steak. I had never had a dry aged steak before and was saddened that the flavor was the same as a $10 per pound New York strip I buy at the grocery store. Worse yet, it was completely unseasoned. Huge disappointment!!

Great food in the north end. Menu is definitely pricey. But nice atmosphere and service is great. We had Dave as our server and he was great. And best of all they didn't rush us out. Definitely try the homemade pasta it was amazing. But for dessert go to Mike's pastries for a great cannoli!

I booked via open table 2 weeks in advance, when we arrived they didn't have a record of my booking, I had to show them the confirmation email, that was annoying but these things happen. We were seated and didn't have to wait. I had the caprese salad to start, light and full of flavour and I had the shrimp... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
