This was my first time trying "Irish Pub Fare." The Shepard's pie, bangers and mash, and fish and chips were all great. Definitely worth a visit in Boston.

Stopped in here for some hot spiked apple cider and stayed for dinner. Great food and a great drink on a cold day!

We called in on spec and decided to have supper here. The seafood pasta was really delicious with a crispy baked crumb topping. Service was good. Toilets not great.

The staff is very kind and the prices are reasonable. You can enjoy the atmosphere here, especially at Halloween.

The location was great. The service was great. The food was great! I had Shepards Pie and it was the best I've ever had! I highly recommend the place and would go back in a heartbeat! Very charming place.

Don't be fooled by the really nice looking exterior (as I was). Atmosphere is OK as is the beer. However, avoid the food as mine was cold when served up. The kitchen is right next to the toilets (which, when I visited clearly had not been cleaned for a while). The cook seemed rushed off his feet and couldn't cope... More

The atmosphere was nice. It felt very pub like. The server was very friendly and service was quick despite being moderately busy. I had the house burger. It was flavourful and cooked just right (I asked for medium). Fries were hot and crispy. No complaints!

Had a Sunday lunch over Columbus Day. All day Power salad was not very powerful - some mesclun, beets and seeds with shrimp added. Balsamic was very weak. And turkey burger also was supposed to have cheese but , nope, and the patty was, let's say, healthy. Good beer but ....

Went to Emmets based on a recommendation by a guide and was not disappointed. Ordered the Guiness Pie, Shepherd's pie, beer flight, and Blueberry crumble for dessert. YUMMY!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
