Fire & Ice is an amazing bargain, especially in a major city where a bird-sized cup of frozen yogurt in Faneuil Hall costs 8 bucks! For 18 bucks at dinner, one can experiment with unlimited personally designed meals that the chefs prepare on a huge grill and that miraculously taste wonderful regardless of the odd combinations of ingredients and sauces... Let me first start by saying I brought my mother from the Dominican Republic for her vacation and my partner surprised us by bringing us to "Fire and Ice"- he said "you will love it" and ohh was he right. My mother went crazy with the Ice Box... the amazing bottle of champagne we got from an amazing Groupon deal-... More

My husband and I were referred to this restaurant prior to our visit to Boston and we just had to check it out! We were not disappointed! You walk in to this modern, welcoming environment and sit down with a empty bowl in front of you. The waitress explains how you go through their "market" and gather all the food... More

I have never in my 35 years ever been so disgusted. Raw food crawling with flys. Twice a rat ran over my girlfriends foot while at the sespool grill. The service was appalling. We asked to speak to a manager and were told she was to busy to deal with a rodent problem because it's an everyday occurrence. This was... More

Didn't have reservation (place is busy most of the time) so we ate at the bar. Lots of distracted workers - and the ones who could take orders were busy making time with each other. BUT burger and wings were good. Clean looking place with good location. Reasonable option for this part of Boston.

We went to Fire + Ice on a Saturday night at 6pm, probably their prime time to do business. I had made reservations the day before and found that process to be quiet easy through OpenTable. We showed up for our reservation and the lobby was swamped. We had to wait for about 10 minutes to be seated which was... More

I have been to Fire & Ice before but not at this location, went on a Monday for lunch and the place was empty. The food was fresh, the cook was friendly and it was great. What made it even better was that I was there with my birthday coupon so my meal was free. If you join their website... More

This restaurant is essentially Mongolian Grill: you pile all the raw foods you want into a bowl and they cook it for you in a central grill before your eyes. You really get the kind of food you put in your bowl, so don't put foods in your bowl if you don't think you'll like them. They had someone directing... More

Went with my family on a saturday night. They sat us late, there was no place in wait in the lobby, and the atmosphere was really not relaxing at all. The food was just ok.

Quality of the food was good and you can get all yhe ingredients you like and have them grilled in front of you. It takes some time, however. good value too. For lunch, it was 10.99 each + beverages.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
