We always visit Legal Seafood each time we visit Boston. We always order a dozen oysters, bucket of clams, crab cakes, kale (without the sauce), and finish off with Boston pie if there's enough room in the belly. Occasionally we have clam chowder on the side. While this is a restaurant chain this is no Pizza Hut type chain. The... More

Copley ambiance was nice. Salmon undercooked and only served warm. Fish and chips way overdone. Seafood pie was very nice. Salmon rice bowl was pretty good Service a little slow. Have been to many others that were much better

We visited the Legal Seafoods at Copley Place on a quiet Thursday night in early January. Legal Seafoods has always been a solid choice, but seldom wows anymore. Legal at Copley is about on par with my recent Legal dining experiences... The atmosphere isn't quite as snazzy as Legal Harborside or Long Wharf, but it's still very pleasant. The service... More

Went in NYE for lunch, not super busy. Fish and chips, just ok. Chowder I was told was very good. Service ok, not outstanding.

Great chowder and properly cooked fish and shellfish. Fairly attentive service, but when I wanted extra paper napkins to wipe clam juice off my fingers, first I couldn't get a server's attention, and when I did, I was brought lemon water and wetwipes, when dry paper napkins would have served much better.

Our large family always enjoys a holiday lunch here at new years. A bowl of chowder, a few of their terrific rolls, and a glass of wine and the weekend is off to a good start. Service was good.

As always, Legal Sea Foods is a restaurant I must have every time I visit Boston. In particular in September when Maine lobsters are in the Eason or October when the claims are available and fresh. The claim chowder is incredibly delicious. There are many Legal Sea Foods in the Boston area - I have been to the ones in... More

We are here after a flight from Pittsburgh. Delicious! We had clam chowder- as my daughter said "they aren't cheap with the clams". The lobster bisque was deemed good by my family and the calamari was great. My soon had the fish and chips; two people had the crab cakes which they said was all crab and no filler and... More

Great service, even though my date and I just ordered some appetizers to snack on given the odd time of day between meals. Typical, wonderfully expansive Legal menu, and it's a big place to accommodate all the mall-goers. Beware the advanced noise level.

We know shopping induces hunger - and Legal Sea Foods reels in those who want to splash down for a meal or grab-and-go. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston's historic South End. Here the views and the seafood are second to none.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
