We are regular customers at Capital Grille on Boylston Street - but this time was our very best experience - we know they have a great Lobster Bisque & Sherry and superb Ribeye Steaks plus an excellent wine list - the difference this time was the outstanding service provided by Sean Goodwin, a true asset and professional - ask for... I knew The Capital Grille in Boston was going to be perfect for my boyfriend's birthday because he had been to the Providence and Chestnut Hill locations. Even though the restaurant was packed and very busy, there are small touches that made us feel like the only couple there. He was surprised with a birthday card signed by the staff... More

What a wonderful evening with family together away from "home." Fantastic service as expected and great food along with it. The entire complement of service staff were spot on the entire night. Nice wine list and interesting cocktails.

The Capital Grille is known as a fine steakhouse, but I'm here to tell you that it's also a great place if you like seafood. I tried the lobster and crab cakes for an appetizer and also the sesame seared tuna with gingered rice for a main. Both were tasty, but the star of the show was the tuna. The... More

Was in Boston to visit with nephew and wife who live in the North End. Told them to pick a place they wanted to go and they picked the Capital Grille. Start to finish it was amazing. Brian our waiter was outstanding (and understanding that we had a lot to talk about so we were not rushed at all). His... More

Went there for a multi-anniversary celebration and was absolutely perfect. Most had the filet and/or lamb chops and were A+. everything cooked perfect and nice pace to the service on a busy Saturday night. Place was packed, but never felt closed in or rushed at any point. This place really gets it. Champagne toast and desert a nice touch.

Everything was top notch. Service was attentive yet understated. Food was absolutely delicious. Drinks from the bar were among the best we've had with top notch bartenders. Along with cocktails (2) and wine by the glass (2), we ordered the 10 oz filet mignon ($47) and the tenderloin with lobster tail ($54), plus a small order of Brussels sprouts ($8).... More

This is a good looking restaurant and has a great atmosphere. The food gets a 10/10 however the service is very imporsanable. The staff seem to want to just upsell you everything. They seem to turn their nose up at you if you're a non-alcoholic drinker (can't sell you their over priced wines). The arrogance is shown in the fact... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
