Best ribeye in years; ditto the salmon and cheesecake. Quiet corner for family travel planning. Quiet competent service.

The steaks are worth the price. The decor is very comfortable. Service is very good. There are both expensive and reasonably priced wines (the waiter can be helpful). Since everything is ala carte be careful of what you order. The breads are good, and come without extra charge. Do not show up early for your reservation. You will wait. Even... More

Of the top places in town the Capital Grille serves up the best overall dining experience. Our early dinner on NYE was excellent. Excellent, professional service from Adnan, a nice dining atmosphere (before the NYE crowd), and fine chow and libation made for an enjoyable evening. It's not perfect but high up there... and you pay dearly. Like all the... More

So very grateful we had a reservation. Wait time was minimal and staff worked very hard - a well oiled machine. Bar area was too busy for the wife and I as we had dressed for the occasion and did not feel like being jostled. Despite the hectic atmosphere, our table was comfortable spaced away from neighbours to allow us... More

It was a Sunday evening, so things were rather quiet in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was superb and it is worth including the Grille in your plans, especially if you are locating in the Back Bay area. Not cheap, but it is in the fine dining category for quality.

Great Service, Great Food, we were dealing with a family emergency and I made last minute reservations. DO not trust their on line reservations. We had made reservations in Newton but when I tried to verify they had no record. Luckily Boston had an opening and we were downtown anyway. We had a wonderful dinner, there was no rush, the... I love the food in this place, also the service is beyond amazing. Only thing is that it is a little pricy but worth it. Definitely coming back again

Arrived exactly on time but didn't find the welcome very welcoming. No other guests were in reception but after introducing ourselves we were just left standing there for several minutes. However from the time we were seated to the time we left we were captivated by this absolute jewel of a restaurant. The decor and atmosphere reminds me of movies... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
